AlphaWurmi
Servus  once more I decided to play Skyrim again but already got pretty annoyed and tired with the way Skyrim handles the combat so I was wondering if there's something out there which could fill my wishes. For example: I ran into a npc with a bow. While he reloaded an arrow and was aiming at me, I charged with a two handed axe in hand forward and hit him with a fully charged powerattack which should have chopped his arms and half his body of, but instead he kept standing, kept aiming and shot the arrow which killed me. No I'm not looking for chopping body parts, but still this was so bad that I don't even know where to begin with. Second example: I charged at an npc, hit him with a powerattack which staggered him quite a bit. Since he was only half down, I used another powerattack which hit him too tho he didn't stagger, didn't react to it at all and just executed an attack himself which killed me. I get it that this should prevent a "permanent stun" of the npc, but comon! Would prefer that a powerattack costs 100% of the (max) stamina you have to not abuse this. And third, animals! Listen, I get that a Sabertooth is a big strong fearsome roaring predator, but if he/she/it does a single paw attack which didn't even fully hit you and completely kills you... cause bleeding yes, cause stagger yes, cause your stamina to drain yes, but killing you instantly? Hell no! On the other side wolves... how comes that a pack of wolves charge at me from every side, biting me 10+ times but deal nearly no damage? Okay sorry for letting my anger a bit out here and writing so much, but in the end I'm looking for a combat mod which really would make combat great again (sorry), which really would make combat way more realistic (if I hit enemies or enemies hit me - both ways ofc!) Edit: Something I forgot: Would be also cool if there would a way to dodge incoming attacks (like by pressing W A S D twice fast) at the cost of stamina and also being simulated for the npcs Greetings- AlphaWurmi Edited March 27, 2018 by AlphaWurmi
QuagaarWarrior
Youâre looking for a mod that changes damages multipliers. In old Skyrim Wildcat let you do this via the MCM menu. Not sure if SSE version gives you this customisation. This wont allow you to change each enemy individually but will let you change how much damage you do to enemies and how much damage they do to you For a dodge mod theres TK dodge that will allow you to double tap a direction key to dodge. You could also use Mortal Enemies which is not a dodge mod but alters the range of enemy attacks to make them more realistic allowing you to manually dodge out the way. I use vigor, mortal enemies, advanced adversary encounters and a couple of mods that add enemies and find combat satisfying Edited March 28, 2018 by QuagaarWarrior
Deleted51870426User
I play with hyper realism, but it can be modified. For instance, me vs 2 guys when I was level 3 was dangerous, Imagine! So, I use six mods to overhaul combat, but they require SKSE65 and SkyUI, if you don't have SKSE65 you can find tutorials on youtube really easily. I'll describe some of my game play before I tell you what they are so that you can know if they're your sort of thing. I use Wildcat Combat - but I go into the mod configuration menu that SkyUI will put into the game and I tick the ''let wildcat manage difficulty'', then I scroll to master and put 'damage dealt x2.50. damage recieved x2.50' which I think seems to be the sweet spot. The rest of that mod will make combat far more interesting, because AI will know when to be aggressive and when not to be, and a pack of wolves if you're not fast could reduce your life to a quater of what it was. Sabretooth, all I can say is kill it before it hits you lol. Which is easier because you have x2.50 damage dealt... it just has 2.50 damage to give you too so, best bring a good weapon.I also use VioLens, and I make sure to create a profile that suits me and I will put 'kill move stun pulse', because there is literally nothing worse on earth than when you kill killed during a kill cam scene by some bizarre arrow or a randomly appearing wolf. It also makes it way more fun because the game becomes much harder and much more satisfying. It's almost like you're in a samurai duel with people you fight, most of the time. Every hit of a weapon actually will feel like it did something, often causing "injury to head" "injury to spine", if you're using two handed weapons or maces.Add this with the enhanced blood, and immersive sounds compendium, + immersive sounds compendium patch ISC Enhanced Blood Textures Patch. I think you will get what you're looking for. In order of your download and installs. SKSE64: Follow a tutorial, Gopher on youtube's is still my favorite one. SkyUI: install after SKSE64 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12604 Wildcat Combat: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1368 and optional https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1368 VioLens: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/668/ Immersive Sounds Compendium: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/523/ Enhanced Blood: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2357 Immersive Sounds Blood Patch: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2951 Use LOOT to organise their load order. RedDog6911
Wildcat Combat with the realistic damage plugin, and True Armor. Great combination, and makes combat a lot more realistic.
