OberonFK
Uh, hi. OP here. I understand that a new issue has arisen after SSE got secretly updated (f*#@ing Bethesda man). This post was made BEFORE that update was launched. I was and still am unable to launch SSE correctly. It seems we'll have to wait until SKSE64 gets updated for my issue to be looked into. I just wanted to toss this out so that people wondering why SSE suddenly isn't working don't come to this post looking for answers since it's an entirely different problem. Herbiehv
this is a workaround I found on Steam SSE discussions. Guaranteed to work.Console = Steam console.press win+R, paste: steam://nav/consolein steam console, paste: download_depot 489830 489833 7780040377772731640steam console will show you where it has downloaded. copy the .exe and overwrite the old one”you can also rename the updated .exe, just in case overwrite seems a little to harsh.SKSE64 will start up again.set your game to update only at launch and always launch with skse-launcher = no update. I came back to Skyrim just a few days ago, and decided to make the switch to SkryimSE. After spending most of my free time downloading mods, tweaking them, and getting them JUST right, I had the game to perfection as of this morning. Ran some errands and did some work. Couldn't wait to get home to play. Then this... really Bethesda? are you trolling me? lol Thanks much though, this solution works perfect =)

Hey Herbiewhv ... steam console ? Where is that please ? I have no clue, can you elaborate for me please ? Thanks so much ... Assuming you run Skyrim with Steam. Just open Steam, open win+r and run "steam://nav/console". it opens steam console, (next to your username you now see 'console') , there you run the number sequence. (bottom active line). Hope that helps.
