egorgeg
I only have a few mods in my game, I decided to download some more, worst decision ever. I don't know how to install them really, I just use the manager thing. All I do is download the file, use the mod manager to install them. But, the mod manager, which is supposed to install the files FOR ME doesn't do it properly it seems. All I get now is the message "Fallout New Vegas has stopped working" every time I try and play my game. I have been onto properties on steam, de-fragged the files, verified the integrity of the files. Don't say reinstall unless that's the only option, I really CBA reinstalling my games every time a stupid mod doesn't work. Don't say get rid of the mods either, I bought the PC version after buying the PS3 version to have mods, and the mods I had worked fine until I downloaded the extra ones. I deleted the extra ones, removed their files, that didn't help at all. PC gaming my....... Foot. Nothing but annoyance. I will appreciate all help. M48A5
This was written for FO3, but it applies equally to FONV: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/652876-fallout-3-modding-and-you/ Hope this helps.
amycus
If you are using the NMM, can't you just deinstall the mods you recently installed? it might just be a mod conflict, or you might have missed that one of the mods you recently installed required a more complicated installation process to work properly? I will read up on that, thanks for the link. If you are using the NMM, can't you just deinstall the mods you recently installed? it might just be a mod conflict, or you might have missed that one of the mods you recently installed required a more complicated installation process to work properly? Thats probably what it is, I don't know how the use the FOMM really, I just spam download mods and shove them into the game using it. I will read the post link above, and see what I can do, if I just CBA I might just reinstall. If it does come down to a reinstall, is there a way of keeping my saved games? I'm rather happy of the playthrough I'm on now.
