hhatton73
Hello, I'm trying to download and install TES5Edit but it goes straight to a note pad in the form of written code and I have been unable to resolve this problem with Windows 10...has anyone else had this problem? Desperately looking for a solution here.

HeyYou
I downloaded it manually, and got a 7z archive. I think NMM just doesn't know what to do with it. :) If you can find where NMM put it, you should be able to extract the archive into the game folder. (where the exe file for the game is) and it should work fine.
hhatton73
Hey man no offense but that doesn't really resolve my issue. The download automatically converts to a word pad document with illegible coding. It should be an application with a list of resources.
Deleted21550714User
clarification, you manually dl'ed off nexus and went to your downloads and did not find a tes5edit.7z file? edit: just for the poop of it, i just dl'ed tes5edit from nexus and got 7z file, opened that file to folder on desktop and everything looked right. I dont know if its a windows 10 related issue as i don't use windows 10. could you post a picture of the illegible coding? and where are you finding this at? Gorsha
Can you choose when manual downloading the "save as" option, if so than add ".7z" or ".rar" to the suggested name.
