NMM Question

Right-clicking an individual entry in NMM lets you set if updates show yes or no, either for the mod you clicked or for every mod in NMM, active or not. I've deactivated the updates since there's too many mod authors that have added insignificant or to me irrelevant updates, or they forgot to update the xml header and it shows an older version number than the one downloaded and in all cases, NMM has this irritating yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it.

Instead, I track each and every mod that I want to be warned for when it gets an update... It's also more safe to update through The Nexus than directly from NMM, in case of name changes, etc..

I highly doubt it. Otherwise most of us would have similar issues. However I think they changed the server in favour of Vortex. Right now I would start to switch over to Vortex as NMM is no longer being updated.

Correction: NMM is still being updated. NMM is no longer supported by The Nexus; that's different. As a result, the updates don't appear on the Nexus anymore, but you can still get them chez GitHUB.

The servers haven't "been changed in favour of Vortex". The download servers of Nexus have switched from the HTTP to the HTTPS protocol, as enforced by new European law.

Never switch to an alpha version of a program, unless you want to be a guinea pig.
