Josh900 has until midnight tonight (December 19th) to write out Tannin Virson. He is not allowed to make any other posts with any other characters until he does so. If he does not, Tannin will be written out by the RP founders. In the meantime, this RP will move forward as planned. I do think we've stalled long enough over this.

Anyway, here's my new character. Hopefully, it goes over well:

General physical description:
Doshkin is a tall individual, taller than most, and has an average build for someone of his height. Despite this, he is quite flexible for his frame. His celestial heritage, though hard to perceive, has lent him a nearly unearthly beauty, with his fair skin, high cheekbones, and chiseled features akin to angelic statues, and wears his thick red hair swept back at neck-length. his blue eyes, though they have a glint of mischief in them, also have a rather intense stare to them, surprising for one of his personality.
Voice: Doshkin has a love for the exotic, and so has taken to speaking with an eccentric foreign accent. A charming baritone, his voice has an enticing playfulness to it at times, and rarely has a serious tone to it.
Clothing/Armor: Doshkin likes his fine clothing, and dresses in a manner of the Cormyran style, with a light grayish-blue tunic with a vest of a darker shade, a knee-length waistcoat, and fine leather boots. He also wears a polished enchanted mithral chainshirt, both to protect him, and to reflect his love of finery.
Weapons: Though he prefers to rely on his eldritch powers, he has learned at least some pragmatism. For melee, he carries a
morningstar, and carries a light crossbow as well.
PERSONALITY:
General personality traits: Flippant, witty, fun-loving, Doshkin doesn't seem to take the world seriously, and focuses on
living in the moment. He does enjoy his independence, and will only do what he is told if he so fancies it (which may take
some coaxing at times). He is curious, to the point where it causes trouble sometimes when combined with his foolish
nature, but generally tries to keep out of too much trouble. His womanizing tendencies, though, have been the exception to
this, and has on more than one occasion been chased by a cuckholded husband angered over his escapades.

Background: Doshkin Doiteain was born in northern Cormyr in 1351DR as one of two twin brothers in the outskirts of a quiet
village. The arrival of twin aasimars was unexpected to say the least, but the boys parents considered it good fortune and
set about raising their children as best as they could. What would happen as the twins grew older, however, would surprise
many if they ever learned...
As the grew up, Doshkin and his brother were inseparable, and had adventurous natures. Though they were twins, with
similar personalities and beautiful features, small little mannerisms did make them distinguishable, Doshkin being the more
curious and intelligent-yet-foolish, and his brother being the more mature and wise. Because of this, his brother was given
more responsibilities and respect. Doshkin did not mind this, so long as they were together, but did feel a small distance
forming between them as they matured.
When his brother began displaying signs of magical talent, this gap quickly becamea large gulf, as Doshkin, despite his
inclination towards knowledge and the arcane, did not possess any such talent, and could no longer keep up with his beloved
twin. One day, though, a traveling merchant had arrived in the village, one that happened to have a book of magical lore.
Curious and desparate to be like his brother, Doshkin tried to buy the tome, but the man refused, saying it was dangerous
to those who couldn't comprehend it. Furious yet determined, he managed to steal the book, and read the forbidden knowledge
contained within, discovering, through certain pacts with otherworldly beings, that he could gain powers similar to his
brother. Not understanding fully what he was getting himself into, the young aasimar began the ritual detailed within the
tome...
Upon completion of the spell, an otherworldly being was summoned, an erinyes. Frightened by the figure, he could not speak
at first, but then the woman(for that is what it was) smiled and asked him what he wanted. Feeling he could trust this
person, the boy shared his concerns, which soon led them to discussing a contract. Doshkin, willing to pay any price to
keep up with his brother acceptable, and formed the pact willingly, and was filled with magical power. Finally, he could
be with his brother again, the fiend told him, but also warned Doshkin not to tell any of their pact, lest it put the two
of them in danger. Promising not to say a word, he released the spell, and sent the creature back.
Proud he could use magic now, he showed his brother, and told him of the figure he had spoken with (he hadn't promised,
after all, not to talk about the woman herself), who upon being described his brother stated that he, too, had met the
figure, who, through blood, was also the source of his power. Surprised but glad, Doshkin paid no heed, and together they
stayed. Once they were old enough (and when Doshkin's pursuit of women began to cause trouble), the twins set off,
adventuring to where they may.
As time went by, though, through experience and experience, Doshkin learned more and more of the nature of his contract,
and the price thereof, and has begun to worry over what to do about it. He thought about mentioning it to his brother, but
when he wanted to mention it, his brother had disappeared without a trace. Distraught, Doshkin has now taken to a life of
hedonism, trying to drown his troubles in fun, while his fate, and that of his brother's, remained uncertain...

Voice: Deep with a difficult to place accent.

Clothing/Armor: A hooded leather jerkin worn over a cloth shirt is all the armor that he wears, preferring to keep himself safe with his skills and magical protection.

 

Weapons: An elven crafted shortbow with a shortsword and daggers for backup.

General personality traits: A pirate through and through, Caden’s always on the lookout for coin and treasure, cool headed yet cocky, Caden’s not one to mince words and says what he means without regard for anyone’s thoughts. Though personal gain is his primary motive, he does have a sense of loyalty, an odd characteristic to find in a pirate to be sure,

Background: A born and bred Pirate, Caden’s been on and near the sea for as long as he’s been alive. He hopped aboard his first ship at the age of six, bought his own ten years later and began his career in full. For many years he plundered and raided wherever he could, eventually striking up a close friendship with a woman called Shalena Windsail. While they weren’t lovers of the traditional sorts, it was a common sight, seeing the two head off alone somewhere whenever their adventures brought them to the same location. However it was also common to see the two competing for the same prize, sometimes resulting in full out battles between the two.

 

This continued for many years until one night when Shalena left Caden tied to a bed and set fire to his prized vessel. Narrowly escaping death, the next morning he discovered an armada of military ships, waiting just outside of port for him with intent on bringing him to justice, with news of his ship’s destruction rumors quickly spread of his own death. Seeing this as an opportunity, Caden made his escape inland, and has since been traveling to the most exotic locations he can find, sampling all that those foreign lands had to offer. waiting for the perfect opportunity to return to the hunt for coin.

Hair: Lustrous, thick, straight, and coppery red with gold highlights, cut just above her shoulders.

Eyes: Almond-shaped, bright yellow-green with elongated pupils.

Skin: Abigail's skin is a warm tan hue, occasionally sporting a patch of tiny coppery scales - these are most prominent on her shoulder blades, elbows, knees, the tops of her hands, and the tops of her feet. There are also extremely small copper scales on her face - along her hairline and just under her cheekbones.

Handedness: Ambidextrous

Scars/Tattoos: Abigail has two copper dragon tattoos on her arms, their tails wrapping around her wrists and their bodies on her outer biceps. Their heads are inked on her shoulders, and their wings are spread upward across her back, touching at her spine.

General physical description: Abigail is well-muscled for her frame, with a toned torso, arms, and legs. She has two small, stubby coppery horns on top of her head, in line with her ears. When she smiles, she reveals slightly pointed teeth. Her fingernails are short, copper claws.

Scar locations: From bladed weapons, His right shoulder diagonally down till about his mid chest, left eyebrow to up past his scalp, the right of his upper lip, down to his chin, horizontally across the bridge of his nose, A cut across his stomach, his wrist down to his elbow on his right hand, and a large cut across the front his throat, and one that runs from his Adam’s apple and up directly under his jaw to his right ear.
An arrow wound located only a few inches to the right of his heart, two through his thigh on his right leg.
A large scar on his left knee shows where it had been broken to the point of the bone protruded out from his skin.
All across his body show the remnants of spell wounds, most far too grievous for anyone to have survived without divine or magical aid.
Tattoos: Two bands that wrap around each other on the ring finger of his right hand, one of Sylvan origin, the other drow.
General physical description: With his youthful and boyish features, Leif could often be confused as a young teenage boy, with his wide eyes, mischievous grin, and a lack of facial hair it’s not a hard mistake to make. His body is impressively toned with next to no body fat to be found.
Voice: A medium pitch and speaks with a Sword Coast commoners accent.
Disabilities: While not much of a disability, he can often be seen walking with a slight limp in his left leg, his body is also occasionally assaulted with small spasms from time to time, usually after exerting himself in some way or when around heavy magic use.
EQUIPMENT:
Clothing/Armor: Heavily used black dragon scale armor, and for clothes he chooses the usual linen wear and pants, nothing fancy as he prefers comfort over looks.
Weapons: He carries with him two blades, the first is The Equalizer, a longsword that strikes harder depending on the alignment of those struck with it, as well as granting the user immunity from charms of confusion.
The second is Angurvadal, The Steam of Anguish. A blade which greatly burns it’s victims and increased the strength of it’s wielder exponentially. one of these blades is usually kept with his horse as carrying two longswords is not the most practical of choices to make.
Other magical equipment: Boots of speed and an enchanted cloak which offers some magical resistance as well as greater protection from other elements of danger.
PERSONALITY:
General personality traits: Helpful and most of the time friendly, Leif has tried his best to do the right thing, though his anger issues have caused him difficulty with that in the past.
He tries his best to get along with the people he travels with, often times creating deep bonds that last years after the adventure is over.
While he is used to being in positions of authority, these were thrust onto him and he’s more than happy to let someone else take the reigns from time to time.
He often takes to danger in a disturbingly lighthearted way, making jokes and tempted fate every step of the way, making him come off as an extremely cocky individual, though his skills prove he is simply capable and he is very quick to change to a serious tone should the situation call for it.
His humor, choice of words, and actions have also led many people to refer to him as “A colossal dork”
Likes: Fighting evil, good books and tales, the company of good people, sea air, being a hero, A little excitement every now and then.
Dislikes: Villains, evil mages, bullies, nosy people, people that break promises, being bored, carrots.

Attitude towards friends/strangers: Friendly towards strangers until he’s given a reason not to be, is cautious around the overly friendly ones though.

HISTORY:
Birthplace: Unknown, though he grew up in the great library fortress, Candlekeep.
Family/Relationships: The survivors of those that traveled with him during the Bhaalspawn crisis are his family.
Background: The winner of the Bhaalspawn crisis, Leif’s tale quickly became the stuff of grand legends, told all over the world for many years after, inspiring countless young men and women to pursue the life of an adventurer themselves (often times leading to a short and brutally painful end and career).
The telling of his tale however did nothing for Leif himself, as his manner and appearance result in very few people believing he’s actually who he claims to be save for those who were actually there to witness it all. He has grown used to their disbelief however and is somewhat thankful for it in a way, all the perks of a wildly successful adventure, with none of the annoyances that come with them. He was quickly able to retire to a quiet life with his wife, at his estate in Baldur’s Gate where he was given the honorary title of Duke for his deeds there, this title came with next to no benefits however as he very quickly found that he had no business dealing with the noble class or even dabbling in the political environment.
Through the years he’s found countless reasons to leave the city behind for months on end to go on “business trips” in the search of some excitement or evil to face down, he is currently on one such trip.

Name: Markas Goblinsfoe

Race: Lightfoot Halfling

Place of Origin: Faerun (Nomadic halfling clan)

Appearance: Markas is about four feet tall, he has green eyes lightly tanned skin with shaggy dark brown hair that appears to not have been cut for several months. He wears it in a ponytail to keep it out of his face. He has a small scar on his chin and a few others on his body from his wandering. He is lithe and muscular from his travels and he has a pawprint tattoo on his neck.

 

Fang, Markas' mount and companion is a large black Mastiff with a white spot on his chest and long droopy jowls and ears. He constantly slobbers and pants, he wears a thick leather collar with small studs imbedded in the leather. His saddle is custom made to fit Markas and it has saddlebags containing the bedroll, tent and other camping materials along with clothing and other odds and ends.

Armor/Clothing: Wears a studded leather jerkin with a blue and green kilt that he has converted into a makeshift poncho. He wears leather greaves and tall riding boots with metal plates fastened to the shins to protect them when he is riding. He has metal bracers to protect his forearms and a longsleeved undershirt make of cotton. His shirt has various cloth patches that were hastily sewn on to repair rips and tears.

Weapon: Shortbow, Shortsword and dagger in his boot along with a buckler (for him it's a shield) along with a short spear which he keeps along with his quiver on Fang's saddle.

Magical Equipment: With the exception of his Tymoran coin which brings him good luck he possesses a Cloak Of Resistance made from an old adventurers prized Kilt which Markas fashioned into a poncho-like cloak. He has also mounted a bag of holding which he uses as saddlebags and an efficient quiver in which he keeps his bow, spear and arrows.

 

Personality: Markas is at heart a child. He is young and brash, taken to riding into the enemy on the back of his Mastiff slashing with his sword or flanking and raining arrows into the enemy. He enjoys drinking and eating and carousing as much as any other halfling and boasts that he knows hundreds of drinking songs. He is well traveled and speaks several languages beyond Common, including Dwarvish, Orcish and even Sylvan. Markas has a tale for every scar (most often embellished into complete fabrication) and is a competent storyteller. Due to his wanderlust he often travels with trade caravans and pilgrims and it has given him a cheerful demeanor. He is a devotee of Tymora and his lucky gold coin is mounted on Fang's collar, something many Outriders did. He has an intense love of 'The Road' and often speaks of it like it were a woman, often remarking on it with nicknames like 'Bonny Lass' or 'Beautiful' but that does not stop him from whistling or winking at Halfling women he encounters. Markas prides himself on his cooking, he often forages for his own meals and takes vast pride in his own independence.

 

Likes: Food, stories, songs and a good brawl.

 

Dislikes: Authority, being tied down, being in one place for too long, Followers Of Beshaba, Goblins and Bandits.

 

Fears: Losing his mount and best friend, Imprisonment and The Undead.

 

Attitude Towards Strangers: Friendly, unless they look suspect in case of which he is friendly but cautious. Otherwise he is usually very open, often engaging in conversation with them.

 

Attitude Towards Friends: Markas is very loyal to his friends, coming to their aid in battle and siding with them in arguments or disputes.

 

Opinion Of The World: "Life is a journey, you never know where you are destined until you reach it. It's best to enjoy every mile and adventure along the roadway."

History: Markas was born into a nomadic Lightfoot Halfling clan that traveled about Faerun. At a young age he dreamed of becoming an Outrider, the dog-mounted warriors and scouts of the clan. His father was one such Outrider and their Captain. He gave Fang, a Mastiff to Markas when he was of age to begin his training. Markas and Fang were inseparable during his youth, and when Fang had been properly trained and was large enough he and Markas quickly became one of the best warriors in the clan. Markas earned the name Goblinsfoe during an ambush in which he rallied the strewn out Outriders and lead a counterattack that broke the Goblin ranks and sent them fleeing. He left the clan not long after when he met a band of mercenaries. They spoke of their tales and the battles they fought. This made Markas and his victory over the Goblins seem small in comparison and asked to join them. They readily accepted and he parted ways with his clan and joined the Black Ravens mercenary company. It was the best time of his life and for five years he fought alongside them until the Black Ravens were betrayed and slaughtered in an ambush. Grimgor, the Half-Orc had sold them out to a group of bandits, Markas and Fang survived, but barely.

 

They were discovered by a group of adventurers after the battle, they had witnessed the fight and took Markas and Fang to Temple Of Tymora where they were healed. When Markas came to he discovered that his saviors had vanished and he was left in the care of the priests. During his recovery he got close to the priests, many of them ex-adventurers and wanderers, they spoke of their lives and in the few months he stayed with them he came to love the wanderer way of life, a Human named Hurbald gave him his lucky Tymoran coin as a parting gift. It took another three months but Markas tracked down the outlaw Grimgor and in the dead of night he crept into the Half-Orc's camp, tied a rope around his feet and drug him back to the village to claim the bounty on the bandits head. Rid of the murdering Orc he took to wandering, encountering a variety of people and places and adventures, joining several trade caravans and pilgrims he plied his skills wherever he could but would move on shortly afterwards.
