BaldurAnthology
Cursing in dwarfish, for he had also been knocked down, Byron forces himself to his feet. "Mind the magic lass! T'was nothin personal. Ah lived for almost a quarter of me life in the underdark around drow. Ah meant nae offense." Spotting the leader of the bandits had also regained his footing, Byron charged forward and swung his mighty hammer into the bandit's groin, driving him to his knees. "Think it's funny to try and tie me up do ye? Well, DIE!!" At this, the hammer Voltair smashed down on the bandit leader's skull, smashing his head flat, helmet and all. Naktis
Nawen was eyeing the three newcomers suspiciously when suddenly bandits attacked them. Did the Duergar led them here? "Not a moments peace." She mumbled to herself and drew her shortswords. Rhaine's earthquake spell knocked the bandits on the ground. She didn't mind to fight from time to time and then later share a keg of ale with them but it seems that this is not one of those times... As the bandits tried to get up, Nawen started stabbing and slashing them with her weapons when suddenly a black panther jumped out of nowhere and started attacking the bandits as well. BaldurAnthology
"ACH!" Byron exclaimed, jumping back from the panther. "What manner of trickery is this? Ta Hell with all ye bloody bandits!" At this, the duergar grabs the jar of number 4 gel out of it's pouch, scoops a small amount of it into a small jar, grabs a coal from the fire and drops it in the jar. He lobs it into the center of the bandits, and throws himself towards the drow attacking the bandits to try and get her away from the explosion. AurianaValoria1
Rhaine prodded Norgold with her boot, "Wake up, friend dwarf!" Then, she noticed that the Duergar had tossed something at the bandits and was leaping towards Nawen. "Get down!" she shouted. Calling on more of her power, she cast a resist energy spell just as something exploded.
TheBestIdiot122
Norgold, still asleep. Suddenly awoken from Rhaine's voice. He saw at the mist of the chaos, something exploded. "WHAT IN THE WORLD!" Norgold yelled, as he grabbed his shield and bashed a bandit running in-front of him, and hitting him in the head with his mace. He had no idea what was happening, but he'd ask later. He had a little bit of cuts on his arm from the blast, and used some prayers to heal them.
Naktis
"What in the hells!?" Nawen shouted when something exploded. She got away with very minor injuries. It seems she was wrong to be suspicious of Byron. Even with all the smoke in the air, the ranger looked around for the panther. She wondered if the animal managed to back away and is safe and most importantly alive...
BaldurAnthology
As he knocks the Drow away from the explosion Byron notices the panther ran away as he tossed the jar. It seems that it was something unnatural after all. He wondered if he recognized the magic, when the characteristically massive explosion of number 4 gel rent the area asunder. Pushing himself up, and offering the drow a hand, he asks "Everyone Alright?" He notices the shield dwarf has finally woken up, and knocked out one of the bandits. Good. He would question it later. And make it pay. A quick scan of the area reveals the panther is nowhere in sight, and all the bandits, save the unconscious one were dead. He goes to his pack, and starts taking out the herbs and apparatus to make healing salves and potions for those who needed them, and got to work. tokyobiohazard
Hazel's hands, which had been glowing with magic, faded back to normal. She walked over to the charred trees and knelt, then began to quietly whisper prayers for them. Ianthe sheathed her schimitars and tucked her light blonde hair behind an ear, observing the carnage around her, "How... hideous."
AurianaValoria1
Rhaine was glad the fight was over, but she was displeased with the carnage. "I'm well enough," she replied curtly as she stood, dispelling her warding dwoemer and sheathing her sword. She wordlessly began her official work as a Doomguide: tending to the dead. Rhaine did not bother asking for aid; it was unlikely that anyone would enjoy helping her, especially the blonde one, whom she recognized as a nymph. Rhaine moved to the center of the pile of bodies and closed her eyes. She called forth the power of flame - divine flame - to incinerate the remains. At once, fire spread outwards from her body, white-hot, engulfing the corpses in a blinding light. She maintained the spell for several minutes, the air drying and visible heat waves emanating from her. Finally, she halted the flow of magic. All that remained of the bandits' bodies was ash. Rhaine opened a pouch of wyrmsage from her belt and sprinkled it over these ashes to ensure that no negative energies would create any undead. All that remained was for nature to claim them. With a final glance at her handiwork, she brushed her fingers on her trousers and returned to sit cross-legged on her blankets, seemingly unfazed by the whole event. Good old days, indeed... "Now then," she said, looking up at the nymph, the dryad, and Nawen, "where were we?" Edited May 2, 2012 by AurianaValoria1
tokyobiohazard
"Introductions, I believe," Ianthe said with a smile, "I'll start, I suppose, seeing as how I did tumble into your camp headfirst." She crossed her arms and tapped her foot, arching an eyebrow and biting her cheek as she thought. At least, she started off thinking. Within a minute, she began drawing swirls and flowers in the dirt with the tip of her boot. Hazel steps over to Ianthe and shook her head. She gave a nervous chuckle and put a hand on the nymph's shoulder. "I am Hazel Ironroots, and I suppose it's already clear why I decided to travel with her." She paused and gave a vague gesture toward the highly distracted girl beside herself. "We've got a simple mission. We just want to find the girl's father." Ianthe pointed to the horses and said dreamily, "I like the black and white one. He's lovely." She then looked around as if she'd been lost before and had suddenly realized where she was. "Oh! I'm Ianthe Moonblood." She curtsied, "Charmed."
