TheBestIdiot122
Norgold smiled at Nawen, "Yip," He said, and Destiny started to follow Angel. He liked the outdoors, it reminded him how peaceful it is in a place with war and crimes. As they were trotting along, he was curious about the two, the Nymph and the Dryad. He turned his head slightly so they could hear; "What was the reason you two were traveling together?" Norgold asked. He had been asleep when they strolled into the camp. tokyobiohazard
Hazel mounted the horse cautiously and clumsily, then sat in the saddle. She took the reins and held them, planning to just copy whatever the others did, since she'd practically no idea how to control the horse. Ianthe climbed up behind Hazel and wrapped her arms around the dryad's waist. She looked down at the ground and felt strange as the horse began to walk. It was strange and wobbly, yet perfectly sturdy. The kind of lurching from side to side that told her she was the only thing that wasn't steady. She could feel the horse's muscles underneath her with each of its steps, sure of itself as it trotted onward. She became a little steadier once she trusted Valiance's confidence. "What was the reason you two were traveling together?" Norgold asked from ahead of them. Ianthe looked up and said, "We're looking for my father. He's a Purple Dragon Knight and we're hoping he's got enough authority to help us keep our forest from getting cut down and used for a nearby army... They've been cutting around the edges of the forest and are going to be close to the area where all the dryads are soon." TheBestIdiot122
"Oh," Norgold said, it must have been hard to leave the sanctuary of a forest, especially if you are looking for something, and you didn't know where to look. He himself didn't have a particular reason to travel around, he just did a few things that needed to be done here and there. "So, this father of yours, do you have any idea where he is?" Norgold asked, even more curious then before.
AurianaValoria1
Rhaine watched as Nawen vanished into the forest ahead of them. "A Purple Dragon Knight?" she asked, "They're Cormyrean...that's quite a long way to the southeast. And I wonder which army it is that is cutting down the Kryptgarden? Waterdeep, I'm sure, is not involved."
tokyobiohazard
"I'm not sure," Hazel said, looking a bit angry, "But I do know one thing. Not in my two hundred-ten and four years, have I ever seen an army wear those colors." Edited May 4, 2012 by tokyobleach
BaldurAnthology
After an hour or so, Byron arrived at the Green Giant Inn. He stopped and called out "Balinor! Ah need a strong drink!" Balinor, the owner of the Green Giant Inn came out at the racket. "Byron? What are doing here? I thought you were going to Athkatla?" He gave Byron a drink, then waved a hand at the gold that Byron tried to hand him. "No charge. Now tell me what's going on." Byron takes a mouthful of the strong ale that was poured for him. "Ah'm going back tae the Upperdark tae hunt down a group o' necromancers. Ah left the group behind to catch up, since Ah was too talkative." Balinor stared at Byron for a moment, then called out, "CALADUS!" Byron turned, and recognized the Tall drow approaching as one of the few Drow he could call Friend. "Caladus, mah friend! What be yeh doin here?." Caladus was silent for a long time, then said,"Waiting." Almost never speaks, Byron remembered."Fer what?" Caladus is silent, then replies "For you. To help." Byron looked flabberghasted. How did he know? "Caladus, how.." Caladus held up a hand, from which dangled his seer charm. That's right, he was a seer. "Ah'll be happy tae have yeh along, but Ah cannae speak for the party leader. It's her decision." Caladus nods, then Byron orders more ale, and takes it to the porch of the Green Giant to wait for the group. Naktis
Nawen traveled to Leilon and scouted the path at the same time. She some non hostile animals and she also manage to trick a few soldiers by lying to them that she is a scout hired by whoever were in charge and she was sent to tell them that their orders had changed and that they should return to their base. The drow knew very little about this war that people were talking about but her fondness of the wilds and animals that live there had striven her to protect it. The road was fairly safe so her new friends should have no problems and have a very uneventful trip to a small mining town. On her way there she wondered what will happen once they reach Underdark and if they'll survive what might happen next. She could not deny that she wanted to go back to the abandoned chapel in Neverwinter Wood which was like a second home to her but she also said that she will help so she won't back down. She never did. "It seems we're finally here." The drow spoke and glanced at her animal companion as they stood few meters away from the town gates. "I'm afraid you will have to wait outside again my friend." She said to the panther which glanced back curiously at her two legged friend. After a brief moment of silence between the two, Sinn strode off to the wilds, leaving Nawen alone. The drow sighed and checked her brooch which helped to keep her hood from falling off and went to the town to wait for others.
BaldurAnthology
Caladus joined Byron on the porch of the inn with several bags. "What are those yeh got there?" Byron asked. "Supplies." Caladus answered, "And my pack." Byron nodded, and poured himself another glass of ale.
AurianaValoria1
The company seemed to fall into thoughtful silence. As Angel plodded along, her gait swaying Rhaine back and forth, the Doomguide listened to the chirping of the birds and the rustle of the breeze. There was a comfort in nature and in life, something that the nymph and dryad understood, perhaps, better than anyone. After the undead were taken care of, Rhaine mentally resolved to help the two defend their forest. Finally, Leilon came into view, the smoke from chimneys rising lazily over the rooftops. TheBestIdiot122
Norgold, still behind Rhaine, saw the small mining town of Leilon. Even though he was happy to see the town, something inside him was bugging him. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he just ignored it for now.
