BaldurAnthology
"Aye, Ah'll make sure they are oot o' the way. Dinnae worry!" Bryon rushed off. Caladus put his hand on Nawen's shoulder and mutters into her ear "Fellow Drow, fear not. We mean you no harm. There is more to him than meets the eye, but not in a malicious way. He and I were hired by different nobles to eliminate this Necromancer crisis. He does not know I was hired also to deal with them. I met him years ago, after an Illithid drove the Necromancers away from him to allow him to escape, or for amusement. He and I travelled for a long time. That is why he has the gold. That, and the innkeeper owes him big time for helping with a problem years ago." Caladus removes his hand, Lowers his hood for a brief moment as Byron evacuates the town, and smiles, his Silvery mane blowing in the wind. AurianaValoria1
Rhaine rode through the streets of Leilon carefully, scanning the alleyways for any possible threats. The hairs were standing up on the back of her neck, and she had learned to never ignore such warnings... Finally, she spotted Byron, Nawen, and another stranger Drow on a street corner. Byron appeared to be telling people to evacuate. 'What's going on here?" she asked, concern writ on her face.
TheBestIdiot122
Norgold nodded, and took off his shield from it's strap on his back, he switched hands from the reigns to unsheathe his mace. He quickly rode next to Rhaine as they entered the old mining town. The town didn't seem in danger, but no-one ever knows that they are in real danger until it's to late to stop or protect them. He had an eerie feeling to him, as if he was being watched or someone was talking about them. Norgold continued to look until he saw Nawen, Byron, and another Drow together. "Who is this other Drow?" Norgold questioned, confusion on his face. Edited May 9, 2012 by TheBestIdiot122
BaldurAnthology
Caladus bows deeply to the Half Elf, who appears to be the party leader Byron was chatting about travelling with. "Rhaine Alcinea, I presume?" He inquired. "I have heard a lot about you and your party. It is a pleasure to meet you. Oh, but where are my manners, I am Caladus Silvercloak. Now, your concern is well grounded, for there is a Necromancer in the Graveyard. Now, I usually don't speak this much, preferring to listen, but this is an emergency. I am preparing my magics, and getting out my ward charms, but I am afraid that I may be too late. Look!" Caladus points towards Leilon's cemetery, from which an army of raised dead were marching in step commanded by a black robed and hooded figure. A nimbus of foul green and black magic surrounded each hand, and the sound of the skeletal feet clicking in step on the cobbles was rather eerie. Byron turns, swears, and throws Voltair at the first wave of skeletons, smashing
Naktis
Nawen raised an eyebrow at Caladus. How can he possibly know that she's a drow? She is hiding her face and skin whenever she's in town. It was also quite surprising how he just lowered his hood and showed that he is a drow. Just for being one you can get torched in some places. "Fear not?" She thought. "I am not afraid." The drow replied as politely as she could. Nawen was quite relieved to see Rhaine and others. "Necromancers it seems." The drow said as she approached Rhaine. She turned to see the necromancer coming from the graveyard. She was really surprised how a town this small even has a graveyard so close. She saw the town's folk running towards the exit screaming in fear. She pulled her shortswords and glanced at the enemies. Three skeletons were chasing a man and a woman so without wasting any time the drow dashed towards them. Thanks to her ranger training and her inborn elven grace, the drow managed to avoid the rather clumsy hits from the skeletons and with the few slashes of her weapons all three skeletons were just a pile of bones. AurianaValoria1
Rhaine kicked Angel into a gallop, sword drawn, headed directly for the necromancer. Cut the head off the snake, and the body will crumble... She held Touch of Death aloft, and a green nimbus of light enveloped the blade, bonding with Kelemvor's own Fatal Touch. Angel was at full speed, Rhaine leaning forward in the saddle, sword poised to strike. "To your Judgment!" With one deft swing, Rhaine's blade severed the necromancer's head from his shoulders. The magic of Fatal Touch consumed the evil man, rending his flesh into dust for his perverted actions and sending his soul screaming to the Basilica of Lost Hope. And with that, all of the undead in the graveyard fell back into the earth where they belonged.
TheBestIdiot122
Norgold had noticed the skeletons coming from the graveyard, from the corner of his eye, a lone child was hiding behind a barrel. Even though Norogld barley noticed her, the skeletons were closing in. He heeled Destiny, and Norgold charged at the two skeletons, as he approached, he managed to toss his mace to hit one of the skeletons skulls, and he skillfully hoped off Destiny before he bashed the next skeleton away, Of course, his mace was farther away and he could reach it without the potential danger of the skeleton and him killing the child. He saw Rhaine galloping at the Necromancer, and Norgold was skillfully defending blows from the skeleton, but as the skeleton adapted to his blocking, he managed to cut into Norgold leg, he yelped in pain as tried to continue blocking the skeleton's swords. As he saw the skeleton fall to pieces, he looked over to the Necromancer, who was beheaded. He grinned as he leaned against the barrel, and the child ran over to her parents. BaldurAnthology
Byron walked over to Norgold, and handed him a healing salve. "Ye dinnae need tae worry aboot supplies." he said, looking at Rhaine. "Ah already took care o' gettin supplies. Ah suggest we leave and get to the inn. It's a few hours south. Ah can show yeh where." Caladus nodded, and put his hood back up. tokyobiohazard
The dryad and nymph watched the fight from the back of their horse. It had all passed by so quickly that they hadn't had time to even dismount. They mumbled among themselves and decided their companions were much more skilled than they. Naktis
Nawen was about to attack another skeleton when he and as far as she could see other skeletons had crumbled. The drow glanced at the necromancer only to see his decapitated, lifeless body lying beside Rhaine's feet. "Well that was... interesting." She thought and sheathed her weapons before walking up to the others. "We should go to wherever we suppose to go now." She really hated the thought of going all the way back to the tavern to pick up the supplies. They can buy everything they need here in Leilon.
