Nawen grabbed her bow and looked around cautiously. She never saw a Beholder before and once she saw one not too far from her it was monstrous and kind of scary too. The drow aimed at the creature waiting for the precise moment to attack while the thing was getting closer and closer. She released the arrow and it hit the creature right in its large eye.

Norgold quickly muttered phrases, as he looked away from the Beholders eyes. However, something in the distance, was something of a growl. "Did anyone else hear that?" Norgold asked the group, but he got his answer as he saw the hellish dog quickly sprinting after him. He tried to attack the dog, but it was too fast, and he tackled Norgold. They both tumbled over the cliff side.

As they both fell, he realized what just happened. However, the dog was trying to bite his neck, and Norgold swiftly managed to hit the dog in the head. Now, as they both fell, Norgold thought of all the prays that he could think of, but it was to late. He could see the ground approaching, and fast. He quickly unhooked his shield from his back, and placed the dog in front of the shield, to soften the impact.

The next thing Norgold came to, was that the dog was literally, squished. He however, felt his shoulder bone move, his ribs felt broken, and every time he breathed it hurt. Now he was truly lost amongst the darkness, the amulet somehow stayed on his neck, and he could still see around him. He couldn't see the cliff side however, it was to far up for him to see. He tried his hardest to get up, but the pain was too intense, and he fell back, defeated.

Hazel cast a spell to increase Ianthe's dexterity, then called to her, "Alright, go!"

Ianthe sprang into the air and plunged a scimitar into a creature's eye, like everyone else seemed to be doing, then yanked it out with the sickening feel of bits of flesh hanging on her sword. She had time to be sick later. She reminded herself that now was the time to fight, and vaulted off the ground and somersaulted in the air, her arms straight in front of her, putting her entire body into her swing and cutting off a few tentacles. She landed, panting, and stepped behind Hazel.

Hazel raised her arms, her hands glowing, and ice spikes quickly erupted from the ground, impaling the Beholder, and with that, it was finished off.

Rhaine saw Norgold plunge off of a cliff edge, a Hellhound having pushed him over the side.

"Norgold!"

She didn't have time to check on him, however, as another beholder was hovering swiftly towards her. Channeling her power into a dispelling charm, she attempted to strip it of its resistances before drawing Touch of Death and unceremoniously plunging the blade into its largest eye.

Nawen was 'feeding' another Beholder with arrows but she saw as well what happened to Norgold. Someone has to help him.

While still raining down arrows on the nearest creature she started walking towards the cliff. She looked down trying to see the dwarf. She could try to climb down there. She aimed yet another arrow and shot it at the Beholder's eye. "Hold on, Norgold!" She shouted, hoping that he's still alive and heard her.

Norgold could hear a very faint shout from atop of the cliff. Sadly, it was muffled and he couldn't hear whoever said it. He himself tried to yell, but the pain immediately stopped him from doing so. He continued to look around for anything that could help him, but to alas, he couldn't see anything. Even if he could, he could barley move his head and that's really about it.

Hazel rushed over to the edge of the cliff and peered over the edge, discomforted by how hard the fall must have been for Norgold, "What's hurt?" She called down to him, hoping he could still hear her.

Ianthe stabbed viciously at another Beholder's eye as it tried to head toward Nawen and Hazel, "Don't you touch her, you ugly thing!" She twirled in a circle with her arms outstretched, slicing the lips and tongue of the beast to ribbons. Leaping onto the creature and holding onto its mutilated eyelid, she plunged a sword into the eye socket and used it to pull herself inside, then stabbed frantically at just about everything before her, hoping to hit a vital spot. After several tries, she did, and she felt a sickening lurch as the Beholder fell to the ground. She started to crawl out of the eye socket, splattered with gore.

Hazel turned to Ianthe as she was crawling out of the hole, "I think I have an idea of how we can get to Norgold..."

Rhaine looked around, her eyes flicking from one shadow to the next. There were no more beholders...yet.

"What do you have in mind?" she asked Hazel, feeling a bit ashamed that her wings were not capable of flight.

Nawen watched in amazement how Ianthe killed the Beholder. Sure, it was disgusting but still very effective. She was curious to hear that she had in mind as well. Norgold was obviously seriously injured from such a fall and to get him out of there as soon as possible would be for the best.

"One thing we could to is tie the tentacles of the Beholders together to make a rope, or I could try and use magic to grow vines," Hazel paused, then bit her lip, "The other solution is much more... crude. We push the Beholder heads off the cliff with someone, or even all of us inside. There are enough bodies. Their skulls are definitely harder than any of our bones." Edited by tokyobleach
