Rhaine was about to answer Sin's introduction when Abby interjected into the drow's subsequent clothing description, "With a bonnet!"

Maydiira turned to where We'tak was hiding behind her snowy wing and grinned wickedly, "Yes...with a bonnet."

"A blue one," Conall added with all the sincerity he could muster.

"Bright blue," Argyros corrected.

As the conversation continued regarding We'tak's would-be attire for the upcoming celebration, Rameses focused his attention on Sin's accomplice, Dimitri. Shallowly dipping his head towards the man in respect, the fire genasi took it upon himself to greet the carnie, "Well met, Dimitri. I am Rameses, the ginger lady with the black pair of wings is our leader, Rhaine, and everyone else is clearly our posse of fashion advisors."

With a similar eagerness to get moving, Eirene bowed her head in the man's direction and said nothing, only offering a formal smile. Besides, the young Mulhorandi was not the most adept socialite in the presence of strangers. Even if she did wish to talk, the genasi quickly recalled something that he considered important of note and mentioned it to the resident of Furthinghome, "Two highborn associates of ours are being wed at this upcoming gala: a certain Ser Gregor and a Lady Rosalinde, if their names ring any bells. Thus, do you mind pointing us in the direction of the nearest respectable inn as well as perhaps a local tailor shop?"

Following Rameses's string of thoughts, Eirene quickly nodded and remarked to the Doomguide, "I presume we have the monetary resources to fund our celebratory endeavors here, my lady?"

Hearing Eirene's question about funding, Leif turned to her with a smirk. "Well if things get too expensive we can see if the banks here are well connected, if so I might be able to make a withdrawal and you all can pay me back later." He said with a shrug. "That or we can make use of our fame and see about getting some free clothing in the name of advertisement."

While the idea may seen ridiculous, in truth it wasn't that uncommon for tailors to use famous adventurers as models for their clothing, and with someone as high statuses as a god's chosen, tailors and clothing merchants would be falling over themselves to put her in one of their outfits in the hopes of sparking an avalanche of business from those desperate to wear the latest fashion trends seen at an event of such importance.

While Sin argued the style of bonnet and if the blue would clash with We'Tak's coloring, Dimitri quickly eyed the group and Ramses specifically. He gave an elaborate but genuine bow to Ramses and with a wide smile answered his questions.

"Ah..indeed I can. It so happens that my cousin Ekatya is a tailor of some note here in the city. She often creates our costumes but also does less.." and Dimitri gestured and smiled at his own colorful clothing and his cohorts still spinning and leaping on the neighboring rooftops. "She does less, outrageous tailoring. Her pricing is quite reasonable and she has many bolts of cloth on hand. I am sure she could, erm...create a bonnet fitting your friend there or anything else your party desires. She has many seamstresses and could get your clothing done quick and proper."

Dimitri, nodding respectfully to Eirene, ran a hand through his thick hair. The gesture seemed a familiar one, his hand running though seeming at its own accord. The gesture seemed to now show an age well-hidden behind good health and a strong constitution. It appeared that the human was past middle age and onward. 'Her shop is just outside of the Old Furthing Park. It is called 'Beyond Aglarond'." The carnie smiled proudly at this before continuing. "As for a tavern and Inn...there are many of different clientele and coin. I recommend The Cheerful Sage Tavern or the bit more pricey, but well worth it, Seven Knights Inn. Both are well respectable and, if I might be so bold, are very welcoming to individuals of all kinds." Dimitri looked over at Sin, now arguing the proper need for both in and outside pockets. His face softened, taking the look of a doting parent and he then looked Ramses in the eye, his brows furrowed, "With the recent death of her parents, our little Drow may welcome a familiar place. She is welcome with us at anytime, but she is a bit hard-headed and no doubt will try to make her own way. She always has."

We'tak's antennae folded back as the betrayal of his would-be ally became manifest, his defeat feeling eminent. "Clutchmates are so mean to poor We'tak..." He was on the verge of fleeing when there was a sudden FOOOOM!

A puff of smoke shot out of a nearby inn, followed by loud yelling and cursing as a very agitated human (or what look like a human) on fire was carried through the door by a giant disembodied hand, with what appeared to be a small moving flame hovering around the unfortunate fellow. Another human, dressed in rather extravagant robes, stepped out with an arrogant air about him as he smirked at the struggling figure.

"You arrogant pig! Let me go! You can't do this to me! You have any idea who I am!?" The fiery stranger yelled as he tried to wiggle free from the hand to no avail. "I am the great Kaji!" He tried to cast a spell, but it merely fizzled out, and the exotic figure moaned in displeasure.

"You're nothing but a pathetic hedge-mage..." The other man replied. "You can't even cast a simple cantrip. I think I'm bored now. Go along and play wizard elsewhere." With that, he made a gesture and the giant hand disappeared, dropping Kaji unceremoniously on the hard ground. "That-- Rrrrgh!! I'm going to pummel that guy!" The small fire elemental accompanying him rebuked him, however. "You can't cast your spells right now, and you know it, Kaji-kun! He'd smash you in an instant, and you know it!"

Slumping as he realized his familiar was correct, Kaji sighed. Damn it all... why did Sensei force those taboos on me? "Well, he still deserves a good punch to th-- Hi-chan? Hi-chan, where did you go?" He stuttered mid-sentence, the entity known as Hi-chan having left, for a far more interesting figure had gained her attention.

"H-hi, sir," the small fire elemental spoke in Ignan as she approached the fire genasi she had spotted among an exotic group of travelers, the stranger's appearance having attracted her despite being completely unknown to her. "I am Hi-chan... who are you?"

"HI-CHAN!!" Kaji called out, giving chase as he came up alongside the elemental. "Hi-chan, haven't I told you not to wander off like that?"

"Sorry, Kaji-kun, but look! He looks like you... except maybe a little better looking and natural than you..."

"Hi-chan!" He pouted, slumping once again as his familiar put him down ruthlessly...

"Oh my," Was Eirene's initial reaction when the group's attention focused turned towards the clashing pair of mages, one of them clearly and ruthlessly wielding the upper hand while the other was caught in the grip of a menacing arcane hand. The argument between those two spellcasters also warranted Rameses's bewildered attention, which resulted in a sudden pause in the conversation at hand with Dimistri. Even though the conflict between those wizards came to a prompt conclusion as abruptly as it had sprawled into the city street, the confusion among the onlookers did not subside nearly as quickly.

The defeated mage's companion, who seemed to be a fire elemental of some sort, then revealed a sudden yet great interest in Rameses, who hardly enough time to internalize this unexpected turn of events before the little elemental was upon him.

Under most circumstances, the rapid approach of such a child-sized creature would not startle a beast such as Jarl, but the camel was greatly unsettled by the fact that the elemental was, in essence, a talking fire. Bellowing and groaning aggressively, the white camel reeled away from the fire elemental, even challenging the fire genasi's grip on his reins. "Jarl, easy!" Rameses barked, struggling with his defiant steed for a few moments.

Once Jarl's apprehensiveness was resolved, the fire genasi sighed in an exasperated manner before turning his full attention to the fire elemental called Hi-chan. "Hello, Hi-chan...? I am Rameses Galeran."

His confusion was obvious as he witnessed the brief exchange Hi-chan had with its... her companion, an equally odd-looking young man who almost appeared to be a fire genasi himself; his eyes were like glowing cinders, and his skin smoldered along diminutive fissures like the surface of a charred log. However, Hi-chan's compliment regarding Rameses's appearance quickly spurred his runic szuldar markings to flare with sheepish energy.

Arching a dumbfounded brow, Rameses soon greeted the man with a slight nod, "And hello to you as well. Kaji-kun, is it...?"

Watching the encounter with an unparalleled degree of intrigue, Eirene was eager to note to their companions, "It seems as though those two might be cuts of similar cloth, no?"

Rhaine crossed her arms and merely listened to the exchange between her companions and Dimitri. Glancing back and forth between Leif and the acrobat, she added, "Perhaps we could pursue both paths, in a way? Act as advertising for this Ekatya? Surely our names would bring her more business in the future."

Before the Doomguide could converse any more on the subject, however, the mage called Kaji and the little fire elemental Hi-chan suddenly appeared on the scene in a rather abrupt and flamboyant fashion.

"Looks like you've already made a new friend," Conall jokingly remarked to Rameses as he exchanged acknowledging nods with Eirene.

Kaji sighed as he confirmed the fire genasi's greeting. "I am Kaji..." A narrowed glance from Hi-chan forced him to add hastily: "...-kun." I utterly hate that rule... He lamented silently; the title his sensei forced him to take during introductions felt rather belittling at times. "Master of all things magical, Wu Jen of Everburning Flames!"

"Save you can't cast a spell to save your life right now..." Hi-chan interjected, cutting the fire mage short in his pride. "I can too cast a spell... I just have to wait til tomorrow!" Giving a harumph, the fire elemental returned her attention to Rameses. "So you're a fire genasi, yes? Wow..."

"Yes... very wow, indeed..." agreed Kaji, studying the stranger; This man did indeed come across more naturally than he himself did in terms of relation to the Plane of Fire. "I've heard of your kind... always wanted to meet one of you in person. I had to work for these." He gestured towards his eyes. "Can you use fire magic naturally?" He asked, suddenly excited. "I heard it comes easy to you!"

"Oh, yes!" Hi-chan flickered happily, her behavior as mercurial as her master's. "Could you show us your mastery of fire?!"

We'tak peeked around his clutchmates, peeping at the odd duo before them now. How strange... Curiosity making him forget the betrayal of his clutch for the time being, the thri-kreen stepped closer, mainly to the speaking fire. Sticking a clawed finger out, he hesitantly poked at the fiery being while it was fascinated by Rameses...

*Nrak'tck!* He cursed, retracting the claw as it was burned. Hi-chan, noticing this, turned towards the tall bug thing. "Oh! Sorry! I didn't mean to burn you!" She whined, the bright spots in the place of would be eyes looking (burning?) sad.

"I am okay." We'tak remarked, looking at the thing. "Greetings. I am We'tak... Living Fire iss very hot!" The fire elemental went silent seemed to burn in a more bluish tone, almost as if it were... blushing? "Don't mind her," Kaji said, nudging his familiar. "She's always like that."

"So you are a Fireskin, too?" We'tak asked. "So you can make fire like Rameses, too? Leif can make fire, too, with magic. It is very interesting!"

"Oh! You have fire mages among you, too?" Kaji-kun looked at the man pointed out by We'tak and at Rameses excitedly. "I'm always interested in seeing the fire magics of the western magicians!"

Both flattered and intrigued by Kaji's and Hi-chan's fascination with fire genasi, Rameses's szuldar continued to crackle energetically out of a revitalized wave of humble bashfulness. Fidgeting in the towering seat of Jarl's saddle, the fire genasi smiled down upon the exotic duo as they spoke with him and each other, as well as We'tak once he approached out of curiosity.

"I'm not exactly a master of fire magic, but I do have the few tricks of my kin." He reassured both Hi-chan and Kaji, "However, I am equally curious about you both as you two are about me. Perhaps we could discuss this over a meal? My companions and I have just arrived in town, and we intend to recover from our journey before accompanying some associates of ours to the upcoming gala, if I am not mistaken."

Once he finished his explanation, Rameses turned his attention to Rhaine and indirectly requested, "So long as you two accompanying us to the Cheerful Sage or the Seven Knights is fine with my group's leader?"

While the fire genasi understood that he was placing a fair amount of interest and trust in two complete strangers, he hoped his shining gaze would betray his vexed curiosity concerning Kaji and Hi-chan to the Doomguide. After all, they both seemed to know so much more about Rameses's kind more so than even he himself did; who knows what they might be able to tell him about the lineage and history of fire genasi?

Sin, who was reconsidering the bonnet idea after watching the mobility of We'Tak's antennae, looked over at the commotion. At seeing the large, disembodied hand drop the male out into the street followed with the cute fire creature, the Drow forgot the bonnet in total.

Mouth agape as her travels had not brought her in sight of such a pair, she stood shock still as the conversations swirled around her. Sin thought to herself, 'I must go tell Mother of this...' as she would have done so many times when they entered a city. Her lip trembled and she balled her hands into tight fists, her nails biting deeply into her palms. No, Sin told herself, she would not cry.

She looked over to where Dimitri had been standing and saw he had slipped out of the group while the fire creature had made its introduction. That was fine, she knew they were there and could find them easily enough. If the group indicated that they had gotten Sin to the city as promised and now, promise kept please go...she would. Though she was rather hoping she could stay and travel with them. Perhaps help and pick up more skills. She could be useful and earn her keep. She could mend with the best of them. If nothing else she could darn their socks.
