Werne
*sigh* I've been looking for lore-friendly male outfits and armors for a while now and all I could find are TS outfit, Wasteland and Bog outfits and a few from Scavenger armors. From 62 pages, most of the files are either retextures of vanilla armors/outfits, type 3 armors, Shojo race stuff (I don't know what the hell that is) and tactical/military outfits. But I want armors that look like they have ben worn these 200 years after the war and repaired with salvaged pieces of scrap and maybe decorated with random junk (like Roving trader outfit combined with Ashur's power armor, fixed with a bunch of junk and useless stuff hanging from it). I don't want it to look like it's been in a bullet-proof pressurized case since the day it's been produced. So, are there any male armors/outfits like the ones I want or do I need to start learning how to rig meshes to the skeleton? Also, it doesn't matter if the armor is a part of a larger mod, I'll just take it apart and use what I want.
Quetzlsacatanango
They are out there.http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13224http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/13518 For these they weren't added until after the fact so it's not reflected in the name... Pretty sure I have male versions in all my NV stuff also.I also remember a thread, either here or on beth forums that was a pretty good list of armor mods that had male versions, so you could try to find that as well.If all that fails, patching together your own isn't that hard really.http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_armor_mashups_for_fallout
Werne
@Quetzlsacatanango Thanks, I skipped those, seeing a whole bunch of Type 3 mods with no male versions I didn't even look at them. And I like some of your NV stuff as well so I'll port it over. And I really need to find that thread, I never use female characters so I got almost no use for female armors. EDIT: Found the thread, it's for New Vegas and it's 2 years old but at least there's some stuff I like on the list. MichikoUnknownFox
I like the various shirts mods, like the 85 Outfits mod. Many are lore-friendly, though some are from pop culture references. I made a mod, which I forgot to back up, that distributed some of the better ones to the wastelanders, so that people had more stuff to wear. This is another shirt retexture mod, but is less lore friendly save for a few. Still, I love having options for casual outfits. It makes it feel more authentic. I mean, why on earth would everybody be wearing tattered rags or makeshift leather when I'm sure there's stuff that survived through the various houses and ruins if you do a good job at salvaging stuff. There's entire suitcases, lockers and wardrobes that don't look like they were damaged at all, so there's got to be a few not-tattered clothes in them! This camouflage uniform is something I like too. It looks great even on female characters, because it's more believable if you're gonna play a soldier type. If you're into World War II stuff, which I am, this mod may work for you. A lot of them are very well-done. Some seem forced in a way, because the guy basically just retextured existing resources, so they aren't all accurate. The German Wehrmacht uniforms look good to me, especially the trench coats (an old character of mine). There's more out there, but as it is I think I have more than enough clothing mods for civilians so I haven't really searched more. This game isn't really as populated as Oblivion even with "Crowded Cities" type mods, so seeing a little variation is usually enough. For combat armor, I tend to use Power Armors or other special type armor that looks good, like Advanced Recon and Advanced Combat Armor.
