eshoxx
Hi, this is me from Germany, so pls. be lenient if there are some mistakes :) This is the very first time I´m going to run a mod for any kind of game I ever had. So I would like to install a graphic-mod to NV, but don`t know which I could/should run on my system. System is: i5 2500k @ 4Ghz, 8GB Ram, M4 SSD ans a 5870PCS+ @stock. Know: Which one could/should I take? I only want better graphics. ATM there is no need for other stuff... And, I question I could get a answer to ist: Is unsing the mod 4 free? Completly? Thx a lot and greetings from south Germany, e.
Qualanqui
Seven must have mods (in my opinion) New Vegas Error Corrections + MM + NVCE, Clean Deluxe, A World Of Pain, Monster Mod and Increased Wasteland Spawns, Nevada Skies URWLified and also new vegas stutter remover (not really a mod just sits in your fallout root and stops 95% of all stuttering etc.) these 6 mods I reckon should be your starting point the first two are CTD removers and world cleaners, AWOP adds a lot of content places etc, MoMod adds heaps of monsters and IWS increases monster encounters and NSkies adds weather. If you want to play hardcore try Imp More Complex Needs makes hardcore a lot more fun and If your after a texture replacer try NMCs Texture Pack For New Vegas

JimboUK
Thank you @ qualanqui Arte these mods for free or do I have to pay something? Is it save to use such mods or could there be any kind of phising, data-stealing...? I've never heard of any that contain malware, I don't see how they could be used to steal data or anything else. They're also free, if any site tries to charge you then leave. eshoxx
Thank you @ all for helping so far. The most I`m interested in the NMCs Texture Pack for New Vegas. But, what do I have to do, to install and play with that mod? Donwlonad them and then? Sorry, but the explanation on the mod wasn`t that good to me. e.g.: What means "IMPORTANT: Activate "archive invalidation invalidated" so the new files show up in game."?AND: does it work with all the DLCs? Do they have a benefit or not? Thx, e.

JacobBruce
No answers?Use FOMM to install your mods. 1] Click the "package manager" button2] Click the "Add FOMod" button3] Browse for your mod file and open it4] Wait until the mod appears in the list5] Click on the mod and then select "Activate"6] Click through the install process (if any)7] Select yes if asked to overwrite any files8] Close package manager window9] Tick any unticked esp/esm files in the list10] Select "Load Order" -> "BOSS Auto Sort" Before doing step 10 you may want to do "Help" -> "Check for update". Click yes if prompted. There's a chance you may get an error at this point. Do not worry, simply restart FOMM. Qualanqui
For the Archive Invalidation bit try http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37004 and read the readme because you have to alter an .ini and if you have issues with saving the .ini read the comments on that mod there is a write up to do with UAC issues
