Macgyver1958
I like having scopes on my weapons, and have added them to many weapons in FO3....but they all shoot low. I have to use "Kentucky Windage" and aim high to get a direct shot. Does anyone know a way to adjust the aiming of the scope, so it's dead on? Thanks, Mac
wetblanket
I can't claim to know anything about this but this thread would seem to have a solution and this one has a different approach plus some interesting snippets on reticles.
MichikoUnknownFox
What range are you shooting at? There's a range in FO3 especially where the scope's zeroed properly. For me, it tends to be at the 60-75m range (checked via this rangefinder mod). At about below 50m, the bullet hits low, because the bullet actually comes from below the gun's barrel when you fire (very obvious in third person view such as from VATS). But the game's engine causes the bullet to fly in a very straight line in vanilla. It's kinda the opposite of real world physics when you think about it, because in real life, shooting a distant target means you aim higher. At 100m and higher I believe, the bullet will always miss high. To get a headshot at that range, you should be aiming at their legs.
