macmert
As far as I know, you dont need to link the esp files to OBSE in anyway, you just need to start OBSE and use the mods, but I am not 100% sure...

nosisab
okay i updated my oblivion, and i got the OBSE working, now how do i get the OBSE to load with the mods enabled? As its name stats OBSE is an extension of the Construction Set scripting capacity. This means it introduce new functions and the only thing it does (basically) is hooking itself in the compiler flux so this instructions can be used. In the game mod it works similarly, hooking in the engine flux so this new functions can be executed. Since it doesn't mess with the original Oblivion.exe file this is done in the memory only. Knowing this is easy to see that trying to run a obse mod without obse lead to crashes, since the engine doesn't have how to deal with the new code. What was said is just to anyone willing to have an idea the way OBSE works, of course. To make it work one just need install it in the same folder oblivion is and use it's launcher. Here are some ways to do this easily: 1: Create a shortcut on the desktop (just right click the obse_launcher, select copy, go to desktop and paste as shortcut) the icon can be changed as fit 2: download an utility named The Obse Launcher (Recommended) with several nice features like allowing start oblivion with/without OBSE, the same for the CS, Start OBMM and others... 3: each other way to correctly launch obse

nosisab
just a question how do you change the obse loader icon?Same way to any other shortcut: go to it's properties and click "Change Icon" button, navigate to Oblivion folder (in this case) and select one over there.
