hsparkes
Only a handful of mods running, so I don't think I'm tying it all in knots or anything. About 35 hours into a playthrough and can't start a game now. Most frustrating. I've tried continue, load with various saves, but once I get to the loading screen it just cycles through the pics/tips/spinning roulette wheel ad infinitum. Tried verifying all the stuff on Steam, reinstalling mod .dll as necessary. This is minus any DLC if that's any use. Any advice, much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Craigsters
There's nothing that can be done about permanent roulette wheel spin, except bringing up the Windows task manager and stopping the game within it, ctrl, alt & delete brings up the windows task manager permanent roulette wheel spin is a bug I've yet seen to be fixed
hsparkes
So that's it then? Can't get back in, and would have to restart? How depressing if so. Have loved the experience, but really don't want to retrudge through 35 hours.
Craigsters
That why it's wise to save often and backup your saves  Sometimes when the permanent roulette wheel spin keeps happening it takes several restarts [stopping game through task manager] to get my last saved game to load, but eventually it loads!.. rule of thumb, if you've waited more then 60 seconds for a game to load, it wont load and a restart is in need!.. hsparkes
Yeah, I cycle four save slots, plus the auto and the odd quick save - wouldn't ever expect all of them to be going south at once. My rule of thumb for the roulette spin is a little different. If the four backgrounds manage a complete cycle, it's time to call it quits. :)
JacobBruce
You need to start a new game, and then load your other save from in-game. I had the same problem the other day, none of my saves would load from the start screen. The trick is to start a new game and then try loading your save. After that you should be able to load from the start screen.
hsparkes
I won't have chance to try this until later tonight, but if it works Sir, my cap is well and truly doffed your way.
StormbringerGT
I use this mod:http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45652It is an absolute god send. You can configure it, so you pretty much never lose more than minutes of time. Especially if you use mods and you get the random crashes.
relinquished3000
I have found the culprit. I was struggling with the infinite roulette bug and constant crashes untill I stumbled upon it after disabling Vsync mode and saw that game was more stable (although still there, there were less infinite roulettes and less crashes). So I started wondering if the problem was graphical. With that thought I disabled all my graphical enhancement mods and it worked, played 5 hours without crashing or having an infinite roulette loop during loads. After that I enabled them one by one every 2-3 hours played. The culprit is actually 2 mods trying to override eachother at the same time. FXAA tool and Cinematech. Disabling one of them should solve your problem. I know this is an old thread, but I'm fairly certain that there are more people out there with similar problems. So here's a bumb. Hope this helped.
