What is a CRC mismatch? and is this conflict ok or will it cause problems with OOO if I install this mod. If this will cause a problem can I edit this mod some how with the CS to eliminate the conflict?

Thanks

OBMM error report:

[Myths_and_Legends_2.4.8.omod] (major conflict)

Data file Textures\Weapons\Templar\club\finewoodmauler.dds already exists

- CRC mismatch. The new file is different from the old.

- Data file owned by oscuro's oblivion overhaul complete 1.34.omod

Data file Textures\Weapons\Templar\club\finewoodmauler_n.dds already exists

- CRC's match, so probably nothing to worry about.

- Data file owned by oscuro's oblivion overhaul complete 1.34.omod

Data file Meshes\Weapons\templar\club\TheMaulerFineWood.nif already exists

- CRC's match, so probably nothing to worry about.

In this case is the order of installation that counts, since the last file will overwrite the former

It explained in plain English what it meant on the same line.

CRC = Cyclic Redundancy Check. But that is just a fancy saying for File #1 is not exactly the same as File #2.

In terms of Oblivion Mod Manager reporting that a file already exists and another mod is trying to overwrite it along with the message that they are different means that one mod "modded" that file and another mod "modded" that file too but in a different way. It could be that one mod made the texture a dark oak color and another mod made it lighter. I do not think it would matter one way or another unless you specifically wanted that file modified by just one mod. That is when load order becomes important...the last mod that loads is the mod that makes the change visible inside the game.
