Kresselack
The first staff looks very nice and extremely lore-friendly. Merlin's beard looks really fake in that picture. His staff looks like a baby's toy or made of hollow plastic. But the "Ori Staff" looks like something I would like.

LHammonds
Blenders are good for making margheritas. As far as modeling goes I preffer my beloveth 3ds max.hahaha...A bit biased eh? I have not seen anything created for Oblivion with 3ds max that Blender could not do as well. Several people that create models in other tools they are familiar with such as 3ds max, XSI Mod Tool and Maya tend to use Blender at the last step because custom collision is easy to export with the latest NIF Scripts. It seems that the pros are familiar with several tools and utilize their strengths when called for. I however do not have a large budget and care nothing for illegal copies of software. FYI - I posted the Merlin picture for fun...not as a request for anything to be made. That Merlin is more of a scientist than a mage...hence the Sci-Fi techno look of the staff. ;) I think the staff would be fairly easy to create and using the Water / Lava effect might be pretty cool. jojo man
Hmm.... This is a pretty good idea. And here I was thinking that I was the only one here who liked Stargate. This would be pretty lore-friendly and it wouldn't seem like it would be that difficult to do. But I don't have the necessary skills to do it. ihateregisteringeverywhere
Who said anything about piracy? I... errr.. found it... YES! I found the CD like.... lying arround on the pedestrian walk. Just like that *snap*. Imagine that! I just can't help the bias, I used 3d's max since version 2. I tried blender, god knows I did, but I just didn't like it, like it at all. I was trying my best to use it for 5 or so days but durring this time my mouth realy turned into a potty as I used the word "crap" almost every other mouseclick. However that custom colision box export is a nice pointer, thank you, I'll give the good'ole'margherita'making'machine another go.
