Moksha8088
I use a mod that allows me to have a huge build limit for the settlements. Consequently, I have enough Heavy Laser Turrets, Rocket Launchers, Stealth Assaultrons, Sentry Bots, and Whirlygigs to defeat an army. However, over half the time it fails if I am busy in some other quest far away. Is the decision based on some random success or fail system that has nothing to do with the defenses I have created for the settlements? If yes, why would Bethesda do that? kevkiev
More powerful voodoo magic:BS DefenceBS Defence in combination with Attackers - Get Off My Buildzone is, imo, the best of all worlds when it comes to settlement defence. Defend when you want to, rely on BS Defence to ignore the attack message when you don't (assuming you have adequate defences) and, when you want to defend, rely on AGOMB to make the attack not stupid. JimmyRJump
Possible attacks of a settlement are based on certain assets at any given settlement. The more food and water, the more chance of getting attacked. Defenses are calculated in a strange way, but anything above 100 defence is disregarded by the game anyway. I use NSA - No Settlement Attacks AIO and haven't been bothered since.
audiodef
I've always found it annoying that my presence is required to defend Sanctuary Hills when I'm in Far Harbor. Geez, settlers, pick up a gun already. I'm going to try some of the mods you guys mentioned.
speedynl
best way to defence a settlement, build 1 in CK, change wb script, place your own settlers, use only that 1, kill every other settler you see, so peacefull then Edited May 11, 2018 by speedynl
metaphorset
1 = Yes (more or less)2 = Because it's a Bethesda game = reasons. No.2 is the most accurate explanation one can give whenever something in a BGS game does not work as one would expect it to work.
Bernt
Been using "No offscreen attacks" since it came out. Almost makes the game boring - almost......... ;) Still - at least I can concentrate on what I prefer to do instead of being spammed by cries for help. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18936
