Deleted31005User
I have been reading on diffrent forums, looking on google on how to progress the best way with your character. (leveling skills and attributes)Though now im confuced and I would like you guys to confim a couple of things...just to make sure. Some people suggest you level skills in order to get x5 on your attributes.Like here: http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/fil...d_attribute.txt But I dont fancy looking at my skills every 5 minutes to watch wich skill I should train next to get a x5 when I level. I have also read that skills (long sword, destruction,...) can only become maximum 100.But when you go to prison, these skills will drop, and you can gain them again and level up even more, thus you get more HP and magicka this way. So here it goes, what if I just let my character level up itself untill I reach 100 on some skills, then go to prison and gain more attributes, this way I compensate the loss if I didnt get a x5 when I should have.My level will be higher offcouse, but this way It doesnt really matter if you get 2x/3x/4x or 5x multiplier on an attribute, does it? Breton Thief Oriana
It doesnt work that way. you need to advance LEVELS to get more health/magicka. and your magika is determined ONLY by your intelegence. it only really works if you drop in Major/Minor skills. Peregrine
No, the xWhatever just means that attribute will increase faster at that level up. You can increase 3 attributes each time you level, and the xWhatever gives you a bigger raise (since you've used that attribute more). No X is +1, x2 is +2, etc. So no, it won't matter how you level, just what the end product is when you're done.
Deleted31005User
What about that mod that will allow you to go above that maximum of 100 on your skills?Ive seen it mentioned somewhere that this mod exist, though I havnt found it yet. This mod would certainly make things more fun for me. B)
Malchik
If you are talking of levelling up to an unlimited level that doesn't require a mod. You will find it explained elsewhere (several times) on these forums so try a search. If you can't find it PM me. The only thing I would say is that it does make the game very unbalanced. saldrex
For me that mosd takes away from the game. Also the only thing that you get for leveling other tan the 3 atribute increases is health and nothing more. Also in the normal game every skill and atribute maxes at 100 and can go over only with the use of magic. Getting your atributes up sooner actually effects the game when it comes to endurance since your hp gain is 10% of it (with out enchantments and magic of course) at the level you leveled up. For me since i did not raise my endurance for a long time at the level of 500 i only have 4500 hp. If i had done it sooner i would have atleast 4800 (300 hp makes a big difference). Malchik
Dragon-spectre, please post your comment in a new thread and stop hijacking others. I would suggest you put it in technical support.
thanateros
I found that the best way to level is simply play the game and discover for yourself the best method of leveling a particular character. The leveling system makes too much sense. If you want to get good with a sword, use a sword. I think that people are too concerned with doing everything just right to get the maximum multiplier for a particular attribute. If you want all of your attributes to get to 100 really fast then use the master trainers. Otherwise, play the game normally and you'll get rewarded for emphasizing certain skills. (and if you want a multiplier you simply have to divide the number of times you level a certain skill by two and that equals the attribute modifier for the level, i.e. light armor increase by 6 results in an agility (or speed i forgot) multiplier by 3 when you level) woo 900th post
