Valuemic
What did you guys think of this game. Its sooooooooo much better than vice city... :P
Kaiouti
[Porque' los dios?] (Why not both?) They are both good games. Mafia is pretty cool, genuine and vintage. (Like wine ;) GTA series is my main thing usually, I would say it is better because Vice City had one of the most memorableSoundtracks, that is the biggest pro. Also with modding magic, it can be a whole load of fun, but I prefer simplistic modsfor GTA3 or lesser ( which reminds me I need to do reviews for the first ones, WHEN they become available and at a fair price :) Anyways, Tommy Vercetti reminds me of all the cool gangster movies I loved growing up. I'm glad they made a Scarface game where Tony Montana <spoiler>survived</spoiler> and was able to do many cool things. Have you played Scarface the Game yet? JimmyRJump
Loved it. Never played Vice City. Mafia had me going nuts, too. A demo of the game was on a disc that came with PC Gamer magazine. The demo consisted of the scene in the parking garage where a deal has to be struck by buying booze from a shady guy. But it's a set-up and once the money changes hands, the FBI pop-up all over the place. The player has to make it all the way down from the third floor of the garage and out onto the street with both Paulie and Sam alive.I had to restart the mission 119 times. Yes. I'll always remember that. Everytime I got to street level behind the last of the upturned cars, either Sam or Paulie got killed, either by the cops or by myself when one of them jumped up to play hero, and walking right in my line of fire as I was shooting at the last remaining cops...
