Get the latest version of NMM on GitHUB.Will this require redownloading all of the mods we have on the old version of NMM, and is the list of mods installed saved somewhere? Or will we had to keep note of all our mods and track them down individually?

Download the exe, right-click it and select "install as administrator" and let it overwrite your existing NMM install. After it's done, NMM will open and show its interface as it was when you closed the previous version.
shananigns1997
Was having the same problem, (not able to connect to login server error) downloaded the exe from https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases and it fixed the issue. All my previous mods still there and am now able to download mods again with no problems, Thanks very much Jim, much appreciated!
