Xanadoodle
Hey! Upon starting a new game from a fresh download, I installed the newest version of Morrowind Overhaul (3.0). On top of this, I downloaded and installed the newest version of Book Rotate (5.3), which currently is the only one available. I also installed the Book Rotate compatible version of Book Jackets (1.0), and replaced the default version already included in MOSG, so that the two ideally should work together. However, I've found that skill books, such as the Lessons of Vivec don't rotate like they should. All other books, including one with custom jackets, work and rotate just fine. I remember there being and old version of Book Rotate, where skill books that were previously read in that save file wouldn't rotate, and would have to be "reset" in the console commands to be count as unread in order to get the mod to work. The Newest version of Book Rotate is supposed to patch that issue. However, the skill books in my game won't rotate regardless if I have read them previously in that save file, as stated, I started from a new game. My issue is, I'm not sure what to do about it. Does anyone have any ideas? The newest version of Book Rotate is several years newer than Book Jackets, so I assume it's an issue with BR's new patch. Does anyone happen to have an older version of Book Rotate I could use? Along with what I would have to do in order to "reset" the skill books I've already read? I'm still pretty early in game, so I wouldn't mind having to do that. Thanks!
leonardo2
Welcome to Nexus, Xanadoodle! I don't play MSGO, so I cannot tell. But from what I understand all mods inlcuded in MSGO is suppose to work and I think the Book Rotate and the Book Rotate Jacket mods works as intended. And replacing one of these mods is likely what causing your issue, so I suggest that you reinstall MSGO from scratch and make sure to read this MSGO thread at TAL. Dragon32
What's your load order? About all I can think of is another mod affecting the script added to skill books, and that other mod doesn't have the book rotate scripts embedded. You could try TESPCD and filter conflicts it reports to just BOOK records. I'd be interested if it is another mod, if I ever get round to updating mlox's rules I could add an Order rule

Xanadoodle
Here's my load order: https://imgur.com/a/JCM8fKzI'll use TESPCD in a bit and post the result. Edit: Rearranged the load order so that book jackets loaded before book rotate, just in case, still doesn't work right. Edit: Checked with TESPCD, and the conflicts present are between Book Rotate and Book Jackets, as I suspected. Thanks! You need to use these mods, all three I think. http://mw.modhistory.com/download-44-10464 http://mw.modhistory.com/download-44-10465 http://mw.modhistory.com/download-44-10466
Dragon32
Librarian by Nicholiathan is probably a better bet as it combines Book Jackets and Book Rotate.
ProfArmitage
For some reason, the patcher that comes with Book Rotate stopped working for me, insisting that mods with new books had already been patched and didn't need to be altered. I ended up switching to Decorator+, although that doesn't let me close open books.
