Roytulin
I know this isn't about Fallout 4 specifically but there's nowhere else I can find to post this. 3 days ago my Nexus Mod Manager logged me out and has not allowed me to log back in, giving the following error: Cannot reach the Nexus login server. Either your firewall is blocking NMM or the login server is down. As far as I am aware, NMM has not been updated or changed in any way to cause this. I have failed to find any mention of a recent extended server downtime. In researching this issue, it seems to me that this is a long standing bug. I attempted to update the software, but it returns the following error: The following updates failed:Nexus Mod Manager updater: Could not get version information from the update server. The following solutions can be ruled out, either explicitly mentioned ineffective, or already tried:- Continuously try logins- Updating NMM- Disabling firewall- Restarting the computer- Re-installing NMM Since I do not have a recent backup to roll back to, I would like to know if there are other solutions available to try, or if this is a permenant state that cannot be repaired. WastelandAssassin
there is in fact a new version of NMM , though I believe you can't download it from hereit should be on the GitHub page of NMM (I'm pretty sure a simple google search will lead you to that page)but this isn't a long standing bug , and it's directly related to a recent update done to the Nexus servers . update NMM to the latest version and your problem should be fixed
JimmyRJump
This is only my fourtieth post or something about what's going on. Plus, there was a Nexus news article about it. NMM download servers, under new European law, have switched from HTTP to the HTTPS protocol and as such, as of 8 May, NMM versions prior to 0.65.0 can no longer communicate with those severs. There was a botched update (0.65.1) and a fix (v0.65.2) but you need v0.65.3 when using esl files because earlier versions of NMM had a code error that prevented manually sorting plug-ins when an esl was loaded above an esm. Get the latest version of NMM on GitHUB. That's where the NMM developers are.
Roytulin
Ah, sorry, my bad. I only read the title of the article about the GDPR and thought it's an update of Terms and Conditions, like with other websites. Thank you for solving this for me. audiodef
I just updated to 0.65.4 from github, and NMM still can't get update info from server. Maybe the code tries to get info from Nexus when it should be pinging github? No biggie, I've never bothered with this feature, but I'm just curious. The others work just fine.

Antivirus too. You'll need to manually update from GitHUB (version 0.65.5 is the latest). I think the NMM update software got a bit wonky since the devs of NMM moved away from The Nexus.
