Mod Nightmare

I'm running about 25 mods that would seem on the outside, that there would be no conflict, however the game seems to crash at random in the world, also it crashes a fair bit during quick travel, or upon entering a building or city. I use FOMM and FO3 edit to make a merge patch. My mod priority looks like:

Fallout3.esm

Anchorage.esm

ThePitt.esm

BrokenSteel.esm

PointLookout.esm

Zeta.esm

DCInteriors_ComboEdition.esm

StreetLights.esm

Project Beauty.esm

CALIBR.esm

xCALIBR.esm

Apocalypse Armory.esm

I also have various Texture upgrades, and I'm running type 3 skins.

For my system:

Vista 32

Intel i7 @ 2.93 GHZ

4GB Ram DDR 3 1600

1x HD5870 (2GB - only uses 1GB)

1x HD5850 (1GB)

Since it crashes while I'm not doing anything at all sometimes it makes me think that I could be running out of VRam, I'm not really sure of exactly how large the new textures are; they are from NMC's texture pack (the 5 part texture upgrade). I also use the updated animations (it's an old mod but I'm sure most are very familiar with it). Anyhow, if no one could help, could you at least provide me with a good chunk of mods, perhaps what your running, that work (near) flawlessly together? I've played the vanilla game so much I can't bare it, and I must mod the crap out of my game haha.

So, perhaps show me what mods your running, or help me fix mine. I just want a lot of variety of weapons, some cool armor (current tactical type or the scavengers armors) and an all around better looking game.

Thanks for your help and I look forward to your replies.

Look through the trouble shooting postings to correct your problems. You need the multicore fix first and you should be running BOSS to set your load order.

I have Boss but it doesn't appear to do anything except tell me in compatibilities (which DC interiors is the only one which says anything, and it's only incompatible with other DC interiors mods haha), as every time I have run it, my mod order, matches Boss's order. Perhaps I don't know how to read it, but Boss's list, and my list are identical.

I will look into that Multicore fix** Thank you. Any other help? Perhaps what mods your running that work perfectly?

The game isn't able to access enough of your RAM because you only have a 32-bit operating system. The full version of NMCs texture pack is very demanding and when you fast travel or enter a city, all of those textures are loading in at once and the game just overloads and crashes. You might be able to get away with using the smaller Performance Pack version but you'll need to make your game Large Address Aware.

Just this from the Street Lights description page: "If you have Broken Steel DLC you should have Street Lights before it in your load order"

I suggest you go back to the mod pages and reread them. Look for installation instructions and compatibility issues. Also, get a copy of the FO3Edit manual and use it while you are checking conflicts and making a merged patch. There is also a very good guide called "FOMM and Fomods for Dummies". It is what I used to get a stable game.

That you very much for the help. I will go check it out and report back!!

Edit: ok I did the Large Address aware as BethJunkie mentioned, I also moved street Lights above brokensteel.esm. I'm gonna create a merged patch and see if things work a little better.

Edit: I want to thank you two again for helping me again, I really appreciate it.

Well after doing the above two things, and an hour of play, no crashes to report. Things seem to be running a bit better as well. I did read the mod descriptions & instructions but sometimes it helps to have a fresh set of eyes looking at things!!

Thanks for your help.
