SubjectProphet
So, am I the only person here who hasn't experienced any problems with Skyrim? Anybody else run it perfectly, never had a problem? I've never had these major problems like "blurred out screen" or random crashes or random CTDs or heavy lag or these bugs that seem to be ruining people's games. Seriously, someone else here has to be like me. Btw, my comuter is an Alienware. Model was one of the first that ever came out, so it's not like that cheap stuff they have out today. I can run Skyrim on Ultra and get a perfect 60 FPS, including high quality shadows and everything set to the highest level possible. None of my mods have decreased performance, and I've never overclocked this computer before.

SubjectProphet
Alienware.... sigh. yep, you're the only one. Must be lonely.... Alienware first model= Best gaming computers ever Now= Cheap pieces of crap Alienware now-a-days can run Skyrim on 10-30 FPS. Lousy, really. Glad I bought mine early. And yes, this brick room is lonely. Very lonely.
Hersir666
Never had any of those problems either and I play it on ultra with hd pack etc. My computer is not an Alienware, but when Skyrim was coming, my old computer was falling apart, so I spend about $1,500.00 and a lot of time putting together a computer specifically intended for gaming, lots of it. Can't really just buy a computer off the shelf, unless its a gaming computer, and have/expect it to run a game like Skyrim very smoothly.
DeadShadow777
maybe because your alienware gets too old, try to check the monitor, and try to optimize your process, might workbecause no matter how great your pc is, but if it's old, it will broke, try to use your pc efficiently mine was got same problem, but after optimizing everything, skyrim runs smooth on my laptop with ENB patch. :D

TwistedMethod
I have an Alienware m11x, the majority of problems I've encountered are usually to do with the Nvidia graphics drivers not being up to date.Updating your drivers fixes some common problems in Skyrim, it also helps the performance & playability of most modern games. beazalbob69
So what your saying is that your 7 year old Alienware comp is better that what you could buy today..........um OK. At least you got me to laugh thanks for that. I have it running on a Gateway from 1994. 16 megs of ram ROCKS! 2 fps smooth as silk. They made computers better back then the silicon was purer lol! Seriously just keep you drivers up to date will get rid of most problems but not all Skyrim is buggy.
shadowofomioc
Actually I, since day 1 of getting this game on the PC, have experienced 0 crashes, 0 real issues. Really the only " bug " or whatever it is, not sure what to call it, I am experiencing is the game window stutters when I am in FPS mode. It is not a FPS drop at all as I have fraps and MSI Afterburner on at all times, showing me my FPS. It is just a jerkiness to the screen. Screen kind of does little millisecond stutters while moving around. Almost like what it does on the PS3 after a long time playing but nothing even remotely close to that horrible. The difference being, when I move out into 3rd person view the camera and movement is smooth as butter. Move back into FPS view and it is again, a bit poppy ... jerky ... not sure what to call it. It is odd, and never read anything about it or seen anything about it. The best thing to relate it to though is what people experience on the PS3 where when you move around it is almost like the game is trying to keep up so it jerks around a bit. But again, only in millisecond intervals and not too horrible. I almost always play in 3rd person view anyway though. Other then that ... nothing to speak on. The mods have all worked fine. The game has never really showcased major bugs that made me go " augh ". I play on full ultra, every slider turned all the way up with 8x AA and 16x Filtering. Distant objects set to full and all that. I have played with various graphic enhancements and have currently about 10 different ones running from both the workshop and here from the Nexus. I can run still at 30-45FPS in the overworld. 25-40 in towns. And usually 50-60 in dungeons. Running an I5-2400 Oc'ed to 3.8Ghz. Radeon 6770 1GB DDR5 OC'ed to 950Mhz. A slight OC on memory clock. The 7 year old Alienware laptops were designed for futeristic gaming. They're good for games that'll be made in 2015. So in 2015, I'll upgrade. I tried running it on a 1994 computer once. I got smooth 2-7 FPS. Couldn't quite get through the first quest.
