Is NMM login server down?

Can't log into my NMM. Message reads it's either my firewall (it isn't) or the login server is down. Anyone else experiencing this?

Actually, this seems doubly weird 'cuz it happened when I was trying to DL a 127kb mod. I didn't think you even had to be logged in for that small a mod?

no , but you need to update your NMM to the latest version

you can get it here https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.4

and no , the update button in NMM won't work , as the update isn't hosted on the Nexus server

That's not what I was hoping to hear.

I've been using 61.21 forever, as it's stable as all get out and has never given me a problem. I really have no desire to move to another version.

Surely there's some other fix?

PS I was able to manually DL and upload into NMM no problem. It was just the auto NMM DL that didn't work.

due to an update of the servers , you can no longer log in with your Nexus client on NMM

and the update server is also not working

the log in is fixed in version 0.65.4 , but won't work on previous versions

I don't personally use NMM (I prefer MO2 , which is working with the new updated servers)

so I don't really know why NMM downloads won't work (and I'm not sure if others have a similar problem , don't recall others reporting this part , unlike the log in which was reported quite a few times)

Drats. Oh well, thanks very much for all the info, much appreciated.

Yeah, I used MO for Skyrim when I was playing and absolutely loved it. I was thinking about moving to MO2 for FO4 but was happy enough with my old 61.21 NMM so never bothered. Might be time to reignite that idea.

The "change in Europe" Wild Bill refers to is a new law that demands a switch from HTTP to HTTPS on all public and private servers. Versions of NMM prior to 0.65.0 still use HTTP and as a result can no longer communicate with the Nexus download servers because of the different protocol.
