diamondhead
Weirdly enough after trying the usuals I ran loot and was told that the unoffi Skyrim patch was obsolete. I updated the patch and the damn thing ran without a hitch.
Grecia300
Your joking.....? >_> Now that just gets me salty... but I'll try it out. Got nothin to lose at this point.
Grecia300
Updating the patch didn't work. I'm open to suggestions as to what else I could do.....
saurusmaximus
I've reinstalled my video drivers, audio drivers, system BIOS, deleted my ENB, and reverified the game's cache. Nothing has worked. I use MO, so I've been launching using the TESV launcher, which bypasses all of my mods (because they aren't in my data folder). My next step is to completely reinstall the game. If this doesn't work, I've got nothin'.
Pickysaurus
I had this issue myself a few moments ago which was solved by uninstalling my video card (1050 TI) and rebooting the PC. The error itself relates to a ban communication between the video card drivers and DirectX
Grecia300
Is there another way to un-ban DirectX? Re-install DirectX maybe?

The error itself relates to a ban communication between the video card drivers and DirectXWhen you say "uninstall my video card", did you have to literally pull it out of your rig? I just uninstalled my drivers, scraped out the registry, and reinstalled and I'm still getting that damned error. Edit: So, I'm out of ideas. The game will run in windowed mode, so I'm just using OneTweak for now, so I can at least play the game; the only downside to that is my framerates are now half what they used to be. Hopefully, somebody here will come up with a better fix.
Grecia300
Is there any more idea's as to what this could be? I've already ruled out DirectX being the problem.
Grecia300
The issue has been fixed. A user on a LL thread that I'd started in conjunction with this one has provided a link to a mod that fixes the issue. For anyone in the future that is having this problem, the following is a direct copy and paste of the post and may help : "I'm not sure it will help you, or even why it would, but https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40706?tab=posts I noticed that in one of the comments for this mod, a poster claimed to have the same error "failed to initialize renderer, unknown error while creating renderer" and claims that this mod solved it. Simple as a quick install to check, and uninstall if it doesn't work. Might as well give it a shot." The link provided fixed the issue despite not saying so on the description. A side effect, if you will. Edited May 26, 2018 by Grecia300
