ElderHenz57
Has anyone checked out the "just" released SKSE ver. 2.0.10 for VR? I'd like to know now if anyone is encountering problems or stability issues before "delving in".
ElderHenz57
Update: Since no replies decided to take the plunge and try SKSE instead of waiting. So far (after 2 hours) no issues with Vortex, 68 mods which don't require SKSE,and no CDT. Stability seems okay. Not to say this will work for everybody and all configurations. Trying SKSE dependent mods next..
Evangela
Yeah that's nice if it all works, but the SKSE team and all mods are not supported on VR, so if something breaks, nobody can help you.
BlueGunk
I've had no issues with 2.0.10. Seems to work fine for me. SKSE dependent SSE mod versions are unlikely to work on SKSE VR. I tried a couple out of interest and it's a dead 'nope'. However, now SkyrimVR Beta is out and SKSEVR (and ENBVR) are updated and operational, I'm hoping some SKSE mods will be ported to VR. SkyUI is my eternal hope....

SkyUI is my eternal hope.... it's pretty interesting how 1 game now feels like 3 different games. Did they really put anything new to Skyrim VR or just same old Skyrim (64 bit) port to use VR and charge us $60 extra while at it? I am looking forward to the future of VR, but for Skyrim VR, it feels like a mod, like SkyUI, FNIS, Sexlab framework, Convenient horse, etc... a mod that revamps something. And in this case, it interfaces with VR and add a few features for VR input + update the existing game system to adapt to VR inputs. I heard the graphics even go backward comparing to Skyrim SE. ElderHenz57
I've had some luck with SKSE dependent mods working. Some follower SEE mods (ported over from pancake) seems to work fine and got other mods to work as well like Flower.Gs... One observation is a couple mods required skse and racemenu which woulldn't launch the game. After disabling racemenu (using Vortex) the mod work fine. Apparently the mod only required the assets and not the mod being active. With adding mods there are times you have to tinker with combinations to get mods to work in addition to finding those mods which cause CDT. What would be really at this point is SkyUI to work since a lots of mods depend upon it. Regarding the above post, yes the game is the same but being in the game as opposes to watch in on a flatscreen is truly EPIC. Us early adopters will have to be patent for big games made for VR which could take a while. Shall we hope for Skyrim 2? Besides, its the talented and very dedicated modders which transform the published game anyway once the familiarity sets in.
