NMM won't install/enable mods

So I'm running the latest version of NMM. I downloaded a bunch of mods, and activated quite a few of them. However some just refuse to install. Modern Firearms being among the prime examples, as the mod reaches around 60% of install completion, but then NMM states there's a problem during the installation... without giving me any context as to what happened. It just says there was a problem, and it looks like there's more but it just doesn't say anything.

I've tried running NMM as admin, and that allowed me to install some mods correctly the second time around and enable them, but there are a bunch that still refuse to install. Namely, Modern Firearms, Armorsmith Extended, New Calibers, and the Weaponsmith Bundled Assets pack.

I'd appreciate any help.

Which "latest version" of NMM? The one you grabbed from The Nexus (v0.65.2) or the real latest version from GitHUB (v0.65.5)?

Always be specific and mention the versions you are using, both of NMM and Fallout 4. And make sure the mods you downloaded work with the version of the game you have running, plus, check if those mods aren't depending on other mods to work properly.

Also try to download a mod manually and then import it into NMM by hitting the green Plus sign, top of the left hand sidebar and scrolling to where you've downloaded/stored the mod.

Oh, it's the Nexus version. As for Fallout 4, it's 1.10.82 I believe. Not sure how to check that.

I've gotten a few of those mods I mentioned to work though, by manually installing, since I kinda gave up on Nexus helping there. Sorry for the late reply, life and stuff happens every now and then.

I might try to use the actual latest version of NMM but considering it already mostly works (only a few models are missing across mods, but I'm not sure which mod has it's textures missing) I don't really mind it now.

Since there's several NNM versions you can download from The Nexus, I still don't know which one you are using. Anyway, get the latest NMM version from GitHUB as the most recent from Nexus (v0.65.2) is outdated and won't let you sort plugins manually in NMM when an esl is loaded above an esm because of an xml code error.

To know what version of FO4 you have, right click the Fallout4.exe in the game's main install folder and hit Properties at the bottom of the context menu. In the Properties menu, hit the Details tab and check what it says under Product Version (fifth from the top).
