Nexus Mod Manager in China

Hello, I currently live in China and I am trying to download some Fallout 4 mods (JOURNEY and Darker Nights) but when I try to login to my account on the Mod Manager, it says I have invalid credentials. I use the exact same credentials to login to this website to post this message so I am confused. I have deleted the mod manager and re-downloaded it but to no avail.

 

Is it possible that the Chinese Firewall is messing with my login through the mod manager program? I don't have a personal firewall on my computer.

 

I'm not super adept with computers so if you cats need more info to figure out what's up, please let me know.

If you happen to be still using an older version of the NMM, a not-so-recent-anymore mandatory security update made this incompatible with the servers, they cannot communicate at all anymore, not even update themselves from inside the NMM.

The gist of it is, you have to download and install the newer versions over your existing one "manually", automatic update from inside NMM won't work anymore.

Chinese firewall often messes the bethesda platform and fallout4 in-game build creation club, but rarely has anything to do with NMM, don't worry, it is probobly just you need to update your nmm. :laugh:
