Thandal
<snip> (as best I can... DAO won't run on my PC, so my troubleshooting toolbox is really limited!). @tsm; Really? Your rig won't run an almost nine year-old game? What's the issue? Disk space? Video card? I have some spares if you need. There's was some kind of issue with the recent drivers for my AMD GPU and DAO... the game loads to a black screen, with sound, but no load menu or cursor. Oh, sorry to hear that. I think I can find my old nVidia GT640 if you would like it. That was the one I bought specifically to play DA2 at higher res. Worked for that purpose, but it turned out that DAO had a real problem with DX10 cards, (huge load times) and the result was the final Patch 1.05 (for which I was one of the beta testers!) sapphim
Do any of the editing tools (GDApp, TlkEdit2, pyGFF) work on a Mac? TlkEdit is written in java and will run on mac if you run the .jar executable instead of the .exe (I've done this). PyGFF is written in python and I assume should work on mac too if run from the source. If I recall, mac ships with java but you'd need to install xcode and python yourself. And you'll need wxpython too.
AfriCanuckinOz
Thanks everyone for the advice.Update:For the mage robes - once I left the Circle Tower the tint override went away - so it was a lighting effect.
