0094: Of Bobby Tomkins and Others

Bobby Tomkins did not cease to meditate, and more, but one of his primary followers spoke for him explaining to the others that the Tomkins Family was going through some kind of 'crisis' but that they were also gaining much important information. This information would be of great value to many peoples, including the Leathernecks of Point Lookout.

BobbyLee spoke of the NecroLords as being followers of the Great Undeath of the Negative Multiverse. They would have used the title of UndeathLords but it had already been taken by another FactionLord Faction, much to their annoyance. The NecroLords considered themselves to be the 'true UndeathLords' as they worshiped the UndeathGods of zombies, vampires, ghouls, lichs and others along with the UndeathGoddesses of true birth, true life and so forth. The NecroLords wished strongly to either destroy or convert the UndeathLords so that they could gain the other name.

NecroSage Ovantarisa was a rogue who was no longer considered to be a NecroLord by the NecroLord Faction because even by their hard standards, he was a monster. He was a sadist, a psychopathic killer and much else. He had a death contract on him with the lethal AssassinLords that the NecroLords Faction had arranged for itself; the AssassinLords had diversified their services over the centuries and also did protection, rescue, training, advisory and other forms of contract including multiple-contracts.

The Leathernecks provided much valuable information about the bunker complex, though there was much that they did not know. They had found that much of the explored and charted area, some areas more studied than others, were empty of all but basic networks of network-systems keeping things functioning smoothly. They had found one of Peter Bishop's cleverly designed secret networks of tunnels, chambers, utilities and special extras like secret wire-teleportation, smart-computers and even store rooms full of useful stuff.

The only threats they met were some big radroaches, radrats and other such critters but they ran away being too smart to take on armed humans unless they had to do so. The biggest danger was getting lost but even then there were scattered emergency and survival lockers, special devices and other ways of survival.

Peter Bishop was reluctant to give all of his 'modded secrets' away to the Leathernecks. He was getting tired of their aggressive defensiveness and arrogant assumption that the whole bunker complex automatically belonged to them. Nor did he make friends much when he pointed out to Jenaqua that the Leathernecks only owned the one sector that they had first found and secured, of the bunker complex and had no automatic claim to any other part of it.

Olivia tried some diplomacy but quickly gave up as she also began to get tired of the attitude of the Leathernecks though she could understand how such a dangerous existence and environment could foster such.

Peter Bishop was trying hard not just to remember the many details he had put into his 'mod' but had to admit he was 'quite drunk' when he did some of them and they might come as a rude surprise even to him. He led a team, with Olivia and Kate along with five Leathernecks, through a series of hallway tunnels to a small, well hidden minibunker. The 'minibunker' was quite large with thirteen chambers being one big, three medium and nine smaller. The big and medium chambers had both antechambers and alcoves going off them while the smaller chambers only had alcoves.

This was no pleasure place for male geeks but an emergency survival type place that had computer links with the large, general networks, of network-systems, of the bunker complex. Peter sat at the main console and at once began to bring up 3Deye (special hidden camera), security 3Dcamera, sensor and other data. 3Dscreens lit up to show views of hallway tunnels, chambers, rampway tunnels, small street tunnels, minimonorail tunnels and much else. The main problem was the vastness of the bunker complex and that the vast majority of it seemed to be bare.

Three times a strange sparkling shimmer went through the bunker complex and everything, everybody in it. Peter and Olivia, together, worked out that the QuasiAlternateEarth seemed to be changing into a AlternateEarth. Peter found that his special pipboy had changed and that there were now special menus to what he called 'cheat abilities'. These were linked more with him than they were to the actual pipboy but the pipboy made everything smoother, easier. There were restrictions on the pipboy abilities of energy, time until reuse and others, some of them surprising. Yet it all seemed to make some kind of new logic that fitted in with the transforming world.

0095: Of an Observer and Others

The Observer was a pale white, bold headed woman in a black jumpsuit, slim boots and safety-helmet. She was carrying a tool-box in her left hand and a large electric hand-torch in her other. She made her way through the HarmonyUndercity along metal catwalks, moving in a graceful manner that was surprisingly fast. Creatures ignored her, neither being threatened or attracted to her otherwise.

At times she heard the muffled echo of fighting as the HarmonyLord Forces fought the UndeathLord Forces, the invaders being greatly increased in number. The HarmonyLords had begun helping the muties more but also recruiting many as soldiers. Since the UndeathLords were far more dangerous for the muties than were the HarmonyLords, the muties were fighting also for their own people. The mutie soldiers were often given special adjusted weapons, body-armor and other equipment.

Both sides were more hampered by the hard environment than they were by the enemy. 'Monsters' would attack them, they would become lost in strange environments not in any official 3Dmaps and sometimes just vanish with out explanation. Generally the mutie soldiers, known as Mutietroopers, a name they chose for themselves, fought better than did typical HarmonyTrooper conscripts.

The invaders were slowly, steadily, driving back the defenders but at a heavy price. Ultraviolet light and high voltage electricity traps destroyed many of the undead. The green glimmering fogs could not be everywhere.

The Observer stopped to observe Sebastian Tomkins, cousin to Tammy-Tommy Tomkins, who was sometimes known as DareDanDo. The False Eternal was wounded badly, was sitting with back against a wall, holding a great big gracefully ugly weapon. Around him were scattered two UndeathLords, five UndeathSublords and small army of others including many UndeathOnes, vampires, superzombies and even ghouls who were smart zombies as were zombers but with some special deadly differences.

Sebastian turned and looked at the Observer. “Your tricks do not work on me.”

“Yes they do but I was not trying to hide from you, Sebastian Tomkins! You really have been a fool but this time you were trying to do good, in your own selfish and foolish manner. Since powerful Outsider forces have intervened in the MultipleEarth, we Observers are also allowed to do so though we try to be more subtle and effective about it. I will heal you, return your TransCube to you that will be fully returned to Alpha Status and other resources, including valuable information. What you do with them, what you do next and how you do it, is up to you.”

Sebastian scowled. “The other Tomkins are fooled. They are manipulated by the LittleFatFamily. They do not know who the LittleFatFamily really are. They are the Omegusa Family who betrayed us so very long ago, who made us into monsters.”

“Yes and no!” The Observer walked over to the heavily wounded False Eternal and crouched beside him. The Observer took out a glowing flat sided crystal device and placed it against Sebastian's forehead. “The Omegusa Family was very large, was truly an extended network family made up of thirteen families being one prime, three secondary and nine follower. One of the secondary families turned against the Omegusa Family, realizing just what horrors the Omegusa Family were trying to bring to the Multiverse. They fled, taking many secrets and powerful artifacts with them, including artifact-entities. They took the Tomkins Family with them including the children who had been transformed into exotic artifact-entities, the False Eternals or EternalLords; you are one of them.”

Sebastian shrugged. “Only in theory. I have been a rogue outsider for a very very long time. The Tomkins are in some kind of trouble, I can 'sense' it. Tammy-Tommy, Sammy and Bobby are all trapped in some kind of deep meditative like state. I can 'feel' the pull to join them.”

The Observer responded, her voice very calm. “That is your choice. You can redeem yourself and be forgiven, be accepted back into the Tomkin Family. That is, of course, up to you. The rebelling part of the Omegusa Family became the LittleFatFamily. They chose the name to help them resist their old habit of arrogance and foolish assumptions. I can not, will not, tell you what happened to the rest of the Omegusa Family except to say they replaced the departed secondary family with a new one made that proved to be far more evil than the original.”

Sebastian Tomkins scowled softly. “That would be right!” Then he fell into a deep meditative like status, became surrounded by a soft sparkling shimmering effect.

When the ST-TransCube appeared the Observer carried the False Eternal into the TransCube, ignored the garish and lightly disturbing appearance of the big entry chamber and lay Sebastian on the floor. Sebastian had 'joined' Sammy, Tammy-Tommy and Bobby in what was happening to them, in what had to happen to them for their good and for the good of the MultipleEarth.

The Observer set the controls and then went outside of the TransCube. A moment later it vanished with a sparkling shimmer.

The Observer went to the dead UndeathLord and took some very potent power-artifacts from him being a staff, a ring and two bracelets. She put them away into a pocket, or so it seemed, and then quietly departed. The power-artifacts should never have been with the UndeathLord for in theory they were safely locked up in one of the big 13of13 Archival Vaults.

0096: Of Tammy-Tommy Tomkins, Graham Maharg and Others

Graham Maharg went to the AlternateEarth of the 1950s and was able to calm people there when they told him that Tammy and Tommy Tomkins had gone into a strange meditative state surrounded by a sparkling shimmering effect. Graham Maharg was busy bringing everybody and everything across from the AlternateEarth of the 2030s to that world and into the greater safety of a TransBaseCube.

Walter Bishop and Astrid stood by his side as Graham Maharg studied the twins, each sitting with his or her back to the other. He sighed. “It is something that they must go through because they have been tricked and manipulated. Now they go through the process of freeing themselves, of rejuvenation and regeneration of mind, body and spirit. There was a great battle between the LittleFatFamily and the TwistedGod. Both sides were heavily damaged but close to the end of the conflict the TwistedGod captured Tammy-Tommy, Bobby, Sammy and Sebastian Tomkins. Somehow the TwistedGod altered them into his puppets and sent them out to do his bidding but in a most cunning way for they did not know they were doing his bidding. Yet the TwistedGod failed for the controlling changes began to unwind, partly thanks to the LittleFatFamily, and they ceased to be puppets. Yet the TwistedGod continued to spy through them, to know what they knew, though this was also a weakening hold. Now the twisted transformations are being totally undone.”

Graham Maharg frowned. “Danny-Donny Tomkins escaped from the TwistedGod before the twisted monster could transform them. They vanished and none seem to know where they are. There are other Tomkins who vanished long ago.”

Walter frowned. “The special project that Tammy-Tommy have been working on, what is that all about?”

“The creation of a new TransCubeShip as a timespace alternates mobile base and warmachine to assist in the conflict against the TwistedGod and any other threat that might arise.” Graham Maharg responded calmly but he kept watching the twins intently. “The LittleFatFamily are doing their best to assist in the salvation process but it going hard on the changed Tomkins. I am going to take over the TransCubeShip process for now with the assistance of Paddy Jackson, who is another False Eternal. He is more of an antihero type than a hero type but he will work well if for no other reason than his own survival.”

Paddy Jackson walked in with a charming smile, not at all offended by what he had just heard. “Please, do not forget my constant fight against boredom. Anyway I do owe the Tomkins and I hate owing anybody anything. Tammy-Tommy Tomkins saved me from a trap set by TwistedLords. I 'sensed' something was wrong with the twins after the war with the TwistedGod and sent a warning message to the LittleFatFamily. I could have gone to them except they frighten me almost as much as the TwistedGod does though not in the same way.”

Graham Maharg nodded. “They do not frighten me but I am wary of them even though I have also great love and respect for them.”

Paddy Jackson frowned. “I have heard slight whispers of you. Are you a False Eternal that I somehow failed to learn about?”

Graham Maharg responded. “No, I am a True Eternal, older than time and outside of time. I will do what I can to assist, what I am allowed to do to assist.”

Paddy Jackson and Walter Bishop both studied Graham Maharg in wonder.

0097: Of Tammy-Tommy, Bobby, Sammy (SamWaSam), Sebastian Tomkins, the LittleFatFamily and Others

The Five Tomkins slowly became more aware of themselves, of reach other and their surroundings. They were standing on a great golden flagstone avenue that ran between mighty majestic buildings and statues but all seemed very long abandoned. They were on their AlternateEarth home world that they had not been to, had not been able to go to, for a very long time.

They all wore golden metallic jumpsuits and black slim boots, pouch dotted belts and exotic bracelets plus rings. These were gear wore by students of the Great White Gold Academy. None of them, not even Sebastian, liked the garish uniforms very much.

There were some tough mutated plants, scuttling oversized beetles and other such creatures but mainly the supercity seemed to be barren of life.

In the far distance, in one direction, was the great white golden tower that was the center of the Imperial Supercity. It was vast, so massive that the tip of it went into low orbit and outside of the atmosphere. It had been greatly expensive and difficult to make, had cost the lives of many cloned workers despite that they used power armor, and not all had welcomed it. Many had come to call it the Great White Gold Folly.

In the other distance there were great, majestic ruins. Great structures were smashed, partly smashed or obviously damaged. Amongst them, ironically, were seemingly untouched buildings. All were self repairing and had repairing network-systems, if they still functioned, but the catastrophe had been truly horrific.

Sebastian frowned. “Why are we here and why am I here with you?”

One moment the LittleFatWoman was not there and then she was there, almost as if she had always been there. She was short, friendly, motherly and warm but they all 'sensed' her barely hidden power. The LittleFatWoman spoke. She wore a long dress, flowery and frilly, while carrying a large picnic basket in one arm.

“You were captured by the TwistedGod and he transformed you, twisted you, but made it so that you were not aware of this except very deeply in your mind, in your spirit. Yet you fought the twisting effect, first ceasing to be puppets and then you started ceasing to be even passive spies. You may assume that the TwistedGod had a great victory in what it did to you but not so; it had a great defeat.”

Tammy turned to study the LittleFatWoman carefully. “In what way was being so twisted, so transformed, a victory?”

“Because you planned to be captured, except for Sebastian who got caught because he was foolish, and were prepared to be twisted by the TwistedGod. We made you as strong as we could and the TwistedGod did not have much interest in Sebastian so he got less of the treatment.” The LittleFatWoman sighed at Sebastian. “Will you ever learn?”

Sebastian frowned but was wise enough to say nothing stupid, for once.

Tommy spoke. “Why the double deception? That is if one can call it that.

“Because in linking with you to twist you, the TwistedGod allowed you access to its well secured inner self.” The LittleFatWoman frowned. “It was you, excepting Sebastian, who came up with the idea. It was a desperate plan but we all knew that we could not do more than damage the TwistedGod and slow it down. We needed to know what it is really up to, what it really is and what, if anything, is behind it. We have never managed to learn much about the truth of the TwistedGod or its most powerful followers.”

Bobby frowned. “I suppose they are all dead, the people of our world.”

The LittleFatWoman smiled. “Thankfully the answer is no! Children it is time to have a picnic and this place is far too bleak for that.”

They all vanished with a sparkling shimmer.

0098: Of Tammy-Tommy, Bobby, Sammy (SamWaSam), Sebastian Tomkins, the LittleFatFamily and Others

The LittleFatWoman appeared sitting at the side of a wide spread blanket covered with much food, drink and other items. The others appeared sitting around it. They were in a great garden domechamber full of semiwilderness gardens. Glitter orbs floated through the air as they tended to the gardens, the footpaths and other features.

Bobby turned to the LittleFatWoman. “Apart from Sebastian, why did we all begin new lives? I on an AlternateEarth where the Martians invaded and then died, starting the spread a terrible zombie plague across a world of the late 19th Century. Tommy on the AlternateEarth of the 2030s. Tammy on the AlternateEarth of the 1980s. Sammy in the Great Sphere, in HarmonyCity.”

The LittleFatWoman sighed. “We do not know the answer to that? We doubt that it was the TwistedGod that had it happen and yet we do not know for sure. Perhaps it was your driving need to finally free yourselves from the TwistedGod's influence. Do any of you remember doing anything very unusual, something in the back of your minds?”

Sammy (SamWaSam) frowned and shook his head as if trying to dislodge a thought stuck in the back of his mind. Then he looked surprised. “When I was nine years old I would do things, odd things, and then forget them as if they never happened. I bicycled to an isolated storage facility, like a fortified warehouse. I somehow knew the security codes to get inside and past rather deadly security network-systems. It was a typical heavy security depot like those used by the military security services. The place was full of powerful weapons and warmachines, including roboremotes and robots. Yet none of that interested me. Hidden beneath the complex was a HarmonyEye Station. It is part of the exotic HarmonyEye Network, of network-systems, that somehow monitors what AlternateEarths that the Great Sphere is currently on or 'approaching' and other such data. The HarmonyEye Keeps track of all activity in HarmonyCity from the Overcity (Surfacecity) to the Midcity and Undercity. There were five HarmonyWatchers there but they were dead; they were HarmonyLords and something had drained them of life energies, blood and liquified flesh leaving desiccated corpses behind.”

Sammy (SamWaSam) paused with a look of puzzlement. “I took from there a super compressed data-orb full of gathered data from the station going back over many centuries. The data-orb was twenty centimetres wide and heavily armored and otherwise secured. Yet it was not all that I took from the same very well hidden and secured small vault. There was a MiniTransCube but I never did find out what was inside it. There was something else in the vault that puzzled me. It was a small basic notebook of just twenty pages. On each page was a very accurate sketch, burned lightly into the paper somehow, of a symbol. First one was... I can not remember any of them. I took the three items and bicycled to another obscure place. There I found a TransCube that looked like a cube of smart-concrete from the outside. It looked like part of the wall of a great big warehouse complex that housed thousands of strange polarized status-capsules. I did not try to find out what was inside them. I went into the TransCube, it let me in, and placed the three items in a storage alcove. Then I went back to my family home. It was as if nothing happened out of the ordinary, that is ordinary for HarmonyCity.”

The LittleFatWoman studied him thoughtfully. “Do you remember anything else that you did and then forgot as if you never did them?”

He looked a little shocked. “When I was seventeen I went out, at night, at least on fifty nights, and met with women, had sex with them, and helped make them pregnant. There were at least five hundred of them. This makes no sense at all.”

The LittleFatWoman shook her head. “It makes sense. You passed on your amazing genetic inheritance to many children as you did later on also as a HarmonyGuardian. I would not be surprised if all the women that you made pregnant were of Unity.”

Tammy snorted. “How does it feel to be the father of thousands of children?”

Sammy (SamWaSam) snorted right back. “Removed! The only woman I ever got to know anything about was a Unity rebel named SueToSar. She tricked me into getting her pregnant and vanished into HarmonyUndercity. The rest I never met but the once and did not even learn their real names.”

The LittleFatWoman smiled. “That will change, Bobby! Your children will start to reach out to you and get past the barrier caused by the interference of the TwistedGod. Bobby, there is one more thing that you did that you do not want to remember for good reasons.”

Sammy (SamWaSam) gulped, looked very troubled. “About six months before I took up the bicycle courier in HarmonyCity I went, in the middle of the night, to a secret very heavy security prison beneath the Great HarmonyCity Stadium, a huge domed multiple purpose facility. HarmonyWardens were there in power armor guarding something inside a great prison complex. I somehow knew security codes that gained me access to secret passageways that they did not seem to know about.”

“HarmonyWardens are not normal HarmonyCity prison wardens. Very little is known about them by most people. The whispers say that they guard only 'special cases' like captured DisharmonyLords. The things in the cells of the complex were not DisharmonyLords. They were undead monstrosities, twisted human things born undead and they were both pitiful and lethal. I killed them by dropping a small sphere into each cell that burst into very powerful ultraviolet light and then into flaming explosions. Actually I did not activate the spheres until I was on the way out. Somehow I know all of the monstrosities died and gained peace.”

The LittleFatWoman spoke quietly. “You did well in ending the lives of distorted entities that were not meant to exist. Let us eat and drink now. Then you will go back to your healing states. We will meet here again soon enough.”

0099: Of the OmniObserver and Others

Sammy Tomkins (SamWaSam) was taken into a TransCube with a little difficulty and into a safe chamber. SihiSihiLo went with him as did some of the locals. It seems they had found the TransCube in a great chamber half full of strange devices and other items from across the MultipleEarth. The TransCube was only a Beta level of functionality but it could protect SamWaSam.

The war in the Great Sphere, in HarmonyUndercity, entered a new phase. The UndeathLords began to fight new forces of the TwistedGod that appeared, undead armies fighting undead armies. The HarmonyLords found that they had allies of elemental entities and damphirs along with friendly zombies. The environment, local monsters, and other such threats still proved to be just as hazardous to the opposing forces as the main enemies did.

Bobby Tomkin's TransCube materialized and the followers took him inside. The Fringe people were allowed into the inner zone but the Leathernecks, much to their anger, were only allowed into three outer zone chambers.

The Fringe people, and the Leathernecks, continued seeking resources and clues to where the rogue NecroSage, and his people, were holding the Leatherneck hostages. Of the thirty-five android women, ten entered the TransCube to begin serving there while ten remained at the place where they had been found and the other fifteen started helping in the search for resources and the hostages.

Tammy-Tommy Tomkins remained in their TransCube while Graham Maharg, with the help of Walter Bishop, continued to work on the TransCubeShip Project. On that AlternateEarth, of the 1950s, the UtopianLords were openly trying to conquer the world. Marshal Nelson prepared to do battle with the UtopianLord Forces as Unity gathered forces, and refugees, into Robertville and Cobber Paddy. The UtopianLords' plans, thanks partly to the rise of Unity on that world, were not going as well as they had expected that they would; the UtopianLord Forces were yet to make a major appearance in the Australian Outback.

Professor Chronos kept assisting Unity against the zombie plague that had come from the dead Martian Invaders that had been left out in the open. What spread the disease, which was not a virus but more of an infestation, were very small flying creatures that were not quite insects for they had eight legs each and six wings. A major campaign began to protect people against the zombie-bugs, as they were soon being called, and to exterminate them. Mammalian pets, livestock and other animals had also to be protected. Zombie dogs, cats and rats were soon showing up in some areas and, like human zombies, were infested with tiny zombie-bugs that had changed, losing their wings in the process. Clearly these zombies were different from those caused by the green glimmering fogs and the glimmering green monsters that came out of them; yet they were also the same in many ways.

The UtopianLords went on trying to conquer one of the AlternateEarths of the 2030s, the one that the billions of people had vanished from, along with the AlternateEarth of the 1950s.

The DystopianLords were busy trying to conquer the other AlternateEarth of the 2030s and then, in the central region of North America a small alien sphere appeared deep underground. The seemingly indestructible sphere began to grow steadily and as it did it had increasing effects on North America and the world. At first not even the DystopianLords knew what was happening but Unity had been warned and was already retreating out of Central North America. They warned others and yet only a trickle moved also; as the Great Sphere had increasingly more effects, the stream of people grew.

The TripleEmpire was trying to conquer the AlternateEarth of the 1980s. Like the DystopianLords, and UtopianLords, they were also having unexpected troubles doing so.

0100: Of A Surprise and Others

Unity was still rising and gaining new abilities. Teleporting items between unityfolk was one along with improved empathic-telepathic communications, telekinetics, pyrokinetics, phantomics, levitation and many others. UnityMind was growing stronger.

Unity was linking between AlternateEarths with the assistance of the UnityLords. The UnityLords assisted Unity in many ways and Unity assisted them in many ways.

A rag tag looking army moved with surprising speed and efficiency across the Australian Outback of the 1950s. The big tracked warmachines were moved by lumbering semitrailer trucks. Unity was coming up ways to better utilize current technologies but also to upgrade them. Knowledge and technologies were being transported between worlds. It was easier than sending lifeforms or goods between AlternateEarths.

The army protected columns of civilians, livestock, goods and other things. Airboats, and bigger airships, moved above the army and civilian columns. Military forces moved out ahead, out on the flanks and as a rear guard.

World War Two had not taken place on that AlternateEarth but war with the zombies, and other undead, had taken place. So war technologies had developed differently, had developed to deal with such as glimmering green monsters, hordes of zombies, gun toting zombers, vampires of varied kinds and savage damphirs. So when the UtopianLords struck with machines and weapons developed to take on other human armies, they had a big advantage.

It was said that the UtopianLord Armies had big battletanks with big turrets with big cannons that could blow up any multiple turreted battletank from a distance. The UtopianLord Airforce had faster, more agile aircraft as fighters, bombers and specials such as dive-bombers and torpedo-bombers. The UtopianLords had many such advantages taken from AlternateEarths where World War Two had taken place. Unity was having hard enough time fighting back but NonUnity enemies of the UtopianLords were having far greater problems.

Locals watched, amazed, as seemingly endless machines roared past on their dirt roads. Locals were asked if they wanted to go with Unity. Many took up the offer but others decided they preferred the propaganda promises of the UtopianLords. They didn't want to know about UtopianLord bomber planes dropping tonnes of bombs on cities, killing many thousands of civilians, of UtopianLord submarines sinking ocean liners full of refugees. A craziness seemed to be infecting the UtopianLords as they began to carry out a series of large scale atrocities.

The old woman, spry looking and in a curious hooded robe, stood on the side of the dirt highway that Unity moved on, vehicle after vehicle racing along it. She stood in the shadows of two thick bushes and it seemed, somehow, that the bushes did not like touching her. A trail of big, savage ants had diverted around her feet. Tough local grasses withered away where she touched them.

She was a TwistedLord and was worse than her false appearance showed her to be. Her hunger was strong and she desired to take life, to absorb from any victims what she could and yet she held off. For now at least.

She died quickly as the silvery, softly shining blade of a phase-longsword thrust through her chest from behind. Yet even as she died, the last expression of her face was relief that she no longer suffered from the Endless Hunger or the TwistedGod's madness; she smiled as her soul became free, as her unnatural bound flesh burned away.

Buffy Tomkins smiled. Sister to Sebastian she had been lost from the Tomkins Family for centuries. With her was Muffy and Tuffy Tomkins, her triplet sisters, who was also in a lightly skimpy outfit of body-armor and tough clothing. They had been seeking the other Tomkins for a long time, fighting as they did so and slaying the undead, the demonic and other horror threats. They had a TransCube and had gathered a large following along with many seeking refuge. The problem was that the TransCube was degrading and the people it was protecting were under increasing threat.

0101: Of Buffy-Muffy-Tuffy Tomkins and Others

They were close to the broken down shambles of a once thriving town. Robertville was about 240 kilometres away with the convoys going that way. The TransCube could go no further except to be carried. The trick was to get Unity to help.

A big truck came roaring to a halt and a tough looking woman driver frowned at Buffy. She spoke in Greek accented English. “You Buffy Tomkins? The 'Voice' told me you needed a lift along with something called a TransCube. Had to offload some supplies to some folks not coming with us, fools, so there should be enough room for the TransCube. Heard about such through Unity. Perhaps we could do a deal and you could carry some extra freight for us.”

Buffy smiled. “A whole lot of freight and the TransCube stays always at the same weight of just one metric tonne. If you need we can off load some of your stuff, put it into the TransCube and then you will have extra room on the truck for more stuff.”

That is what they did and the TransCube was lifted onto the truck by four big humanoids, rocky looking quasiliving rocknoids with amazing strength and endurance but much slowness of movement. They were Tod, Snod, Bod and Droy. By this time the truck had been largely emptied of other freight. The driver, one Damara, was astonished but pleased. She did consider the triplets' outfits to be too skimpy and tight but did not push the matter too much as if realizing it would not cause any changes to take place. Buffy-Muffy-Tuffy had young women bodies but eyes that were very old and hard though with warmth there also. Damara knew that they had been alive a very long time ago even before her Ancient Greek Ancestors had appeared.

Soon the truck was on the move again and yet it was not too long before it stopped at the ramshackle town to load up more with goods. Many went into the BMT-TransCube that had no trouble taking more non living things, just more living things. Living things amongst the freight were filtered away and placed in status storage such a cockroaches, spiders and ants.

Muffy sat up front with Damara and a Blue Heeler dog who quickly fell in love with the triplet much to the amusement of Damara for he was usually wary of strangers.

Damara spoke. “The UtopianLords betrayed us. They infiltrated and took over the Greek Government and the military forces, the police and much else. They got a rude surprise when they tried to take over. The Greek people turned against the puppet government and the brutal puppet military. Many soldiers joined the resistance forces, with their equipment. UnityLords helped us and also strange elemental creatures but then many UtopianLords began to turn against other UtopianLords, and their followers also. The rebel UtopianLords are becoming UnityLords and their followers are becoming Unity or becoming allied to Unity. Why is this?”

Muffy shrugged. “We just got here but.... it could be linked with the flying-saucers bringing many resources to the UtopianLords and numerous UtopianLords becoming 'strange', even evil. The atrocities show that many followers are also falling under the terrible influence. We fear the Greynari are at work and they are influencing the UtopianLords, along with many followers, to follow the Gray Path of Desolation of mind, body and spirit.”

Damara scowled. “We know about them about the green glimmering fogs.”

Muffy shook her head. “No, those are but weak cousins to them real thing. Them TwistedGod has been carrying out experiments, in its own haphazard fashion, by manipulating and exploiting others much of the time. That is why the UndeathLords have turned against him, finally waking up to the fact that they have been tricked and used. I was only a mere immortal, on my Home AlternateEarth, when our phase of things began. That was about three hundred thousand years ago, at least. Difficult to put into mere mortal terms when dealing with the MultipleEarth and the Multiverse, the universality of universes.”

Damara shook her head. “All I am is just a Greek woman. Well, now I am of Unity which helps in some ways though it is a challenge in others. This world will be engulfed by the Great Sphere and absorbed by it and my beautiful Greece will be gone.”

“Not if we can stop it happening, it won't!” Muffy kissed the dog on the head and then watched some kangaroos hopping along the side of the dirt highway. “Those kangaroos need saving, as do other flora and fauna. Stay focused mainly on the here and now, Damara, and one is better for it but you know that already.”

Damara only nodded.
