SubjectProphet
Yeah, you read the title right. Was woken up by my General, handing me a phone. On the other end was my wife, Sadi. And she said immediatly, 'I'm pregnent." Want to know what I did? My jaw landed in the mantle of the Earth, my mind went crazy, and I felt like my whole life had just been created without me there for it. I can't go home, I have to stay, but my wife is carrying a baby. So, with nowhere else to go for advice, I turn to an internet forum. How f'ing sad. So, advice on controlling myself before I go INSANE?????!!!!!!
Vagrant0
It's not like it'll happen immediately. These things usually take a few months. Just give her what love and support you can, try to contact your family to see if anyone can help her out around the house during and after the 2nd trimester. The reality is that you aren't the first who has been told something like this, or had to deal with a pregnancy long distance. Hell, there are probably other soldiers in the base or hospital who have kids and who were away for a portion of the pregnancy or birth that you could probably talk to. You don't have to deal with it alone, but you will have to just deal with it.

HeyYou
So, you should be home by the time she gets near 'her time'. Do what ya can for her from a distance, that's about all you CAN do. If you have friends/family back home, ask them to help her out as well. :) Being fairly far along in pregnancy can really limit your capabilities. :D
brokenergy
Don't go overboard with this, your wife needs you more focused than ever. Also remember that you are not the one who's going to pump this out in nine months time
