Tomoxx02
I freshly installed Fallout 4, immediately modded it and now I suffer of stuttering when in the open world, the game simply frozes for some milliseconds or even seconds. Vanilla fallout runs much better. I have constant 60 FPS and nothing gets it down from that except for the stuttering. Not even blowing 40 Mininukes get it down. This is my loadorder https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_T4asAOcsecGQ_iEtvPKCvpMsoZMqu8p/view
JimmyRJump
Please have a look around the different FO4 fora. There's literally dozens of topics that handle the stuttering problem. When seeking help about a graphics issue, please always add your computer specs. CPU, RAM amount, GPU (brand & type and amount of V-RAM) should suffice. There's also ENBoost. Have a try. Starlancer
Hi there, Just a tip that resolved the same type of problems for me. Go to the steam tab and there go the steam's parameters. There uncheck the shaders cache ( I think it's the last tab... not sure at this moment) but it's safe my playability with some 4k textures mods. If you try this tips can you enlight me for the sequels ? Just for information: mine rig is a i7 2600k and a Geforce 980 Ti with 16 Gb RAM and 6 Gb Vram . Just working like a charm for me. jones177
Hi Yesterday I got a particular type of stutter for the first time since 2016. This type of stutter makes grass & tree branches vibrate rapidly. When I get this type of stutter I save, quit the game, load the game & the stutter is gone. That was on my Windows 10 computer. I ran the save on my Windows 7 computer(with the same mods) & could not duplicate the stutter. This was a video driver issue back when the game came out. I have not done enough testing to know what it is now. If you add lots of content to your game it will eventually stutter as your save gets older. My original character saves I started when the game came out became unplayable with stutter first with my i72600k. Then later with my i7 6700k. They are now playable with my i7 8700k. Fallout 4 modded, is the only 60fps game that I have that takes full advantage of the i7 8700k. I/O stutter is a thing with this game. With the mods I use the game becomes unplayable with stutter if it is on a hard drive. My game after level 20 needs to be on a SSD. Along with computer specs, screen resolution is important to. Your graphics card is powerful at 1080 resolution but average at 1440 resolution. My game needs more CPU than what you have. To test your graphics card, lower your resolution & see what happens. To test your CPU & I/O start a new game. If it is smooth you have overwhelmed your hardware.
