SubjectProphet
Dante nodded and followed Artyom through the base. He enjoyed the warmth around him. He looked on the ground, following the feet patterns. He kept his hand close to his rifle, and the other close to his pistol. If someone tried to kill him, he'd at least bring down half the base with him. OOC: REMEMBER: Characters in the thread are very hard to kill (immortal mode) for reasons I still have yet to reveal. If you want to, you can attack a city alone and still win. I'll update the main thread to point that out andmake it more specific.
TheBestIdiot122
As Artyom continued through the base, the Polkovnik (Colonel) came out from his office, and walked side by side next to Artyom. They both were talking in Russian, and the Colonel looked at Dante a few times. As the small group reached the Medical Bay, there was already a group of doctors and nurses, ready for Fayth. Artyom gently set Fayth on the bed, and the doctors closed the curtain around her. Artyom turned to Dante: "The Colonel wants a few words with you in his office, I'll be translating." Artyom said, as the Colonel led both of them into his office. The office itself was quite nice, and more warm then the rest of the base. Artyom sat on one of the two chairs in-front of the Colonel's desk. Edited May 13, 2012 by TheBestIdiot122
SubjectProphet
OOC: Sorry, had patrol boards to attend too. I have too much crap going on here, it's getting funny. IC: Dante hesitated to sit down. He didn't know what to do, sit down or run for it. He had been tortured for information before, and didn't want to risk it again. But he was armed, and could kill everyone in the base if he had too. So he sat down in the chair, keeping his hand of the handle of his P99, ready to pull it out an shoot both the men around him. "Let's get this overwith," he said.
TheBestIdiot122
Artyom noticed that Dante had his hand on his pistol. He wasn't surprised. If he was in his shoes he would have done the same. Artyom looked at the Colonel and nodded. As he started to speak, Artyom listened, and then turned to Dante. "His main concern is why an American recon team is this deep into Asia, and he wants to know of anything that might be of use that you have collect while you were here," Artyom said calmly. SubjectProphet
Dante looked at Artyom, and then the Colonel. He sighed and began to speak. "The Teractyl needs territory here to keep an eye on the British. They think that the Unity is trying to attack Zealand straightaway. While the Teractyl defends their lands, we came here to take the area, only to be met by the British, who also wanted this land. The blizzard ruined our plans, and we fear that this'll only add fire to the war," he explained.
TheBestIdiot122
Artyom looked at the Colonel, and translated what Dante said into Russian, after he finished, the Colonel nodded his head. It seemed as he was thinking, after about a minute of an awkward silence, he spoke again. Artyom raised his eyebrow, but he just nodded and looked at Dante. "He said there is much more then that, American. The British here are working in top secret, developing weapons. The main reason were here is to make sure that whatever new tech is invented, is destroyed," Artyom said, with a wondering tone.
SubjectProphet
Dante wasn't suprised to hear this. The Unity took every measure to win the war, even if it means blowing up everywhere they can't take through skill. He grabbed some papers from his pocket and dropped them on the desk. "Tell you're colonel to read those papers," he said. They contained information about a Communist betrayal, soldiers sending intel to the Unity to give them the upperhand. "My main job was to come here and take the land, however, I also had to find the men sending these letters and kill them before the Unity finally gets the chance to strike on every end of the union," he said. OOC: Final day patrol, should only take 15 minutes. Be back soon.
TheBestIdiot122
Artyom told the Colonel to read the papers. The Colonel grabbed the papers and began to read them one by one, with each and every minute the anger and betrayal became over his face. As he read the last bit of paper, he handed them to Artyom. Who also went through the papers. "Everyone of these soldiers are dead or MIA-... Wait a minute." Artyom said, as he looked at the last bit of paper. The name that he figured was going to be on there. Isaak. "He was just with me not even an hour ago..." Artyom said quietly, as he placed the papers back on the desk. Artyom rubbed his face with his hands. It was bad enough he had no idea where Isaak is, but now he probably knew everything about the base now. Artyom told the Colonel the main mission for Dante, the Colonel sighed and opened a drawer from the desk, he brought a paper and a stamper up. He sighed the paper and stamped it, and handed it to Artyom. "An Armory pass? What for?" Artyom asked in Russian. The Colonel explained to use what ever is necessary to find Isaak. As he finished, Artyom nodded and got up from his seat, walked over to the door and knocked on it two times. The guard outside opened the door and Artyom turned around to face Dante, "We have access to the best equipment that the Communist Union has to offer, and we need to find Isaak, and soon before he can return to the safety of the British." Artyom said. Edited May 14, 2012 by TheBestIdiot122
SubjectProphet
OOC: Lol, sorry. Sometimes I'll just disappear, so..... IC: Dante got up from his chair. "Alright. Let's just get this over quick," he said.
TheBestIdiot122
Artyom turned around and started walking at a fast pace down the hallway, he needed to get whatever he needed, and leave. The sooner they left the better chance they would have to find Isaak again. As Artyom lead Dante through the twists and turns of the Base, they finally arrived at bigger, steel door. The guard stood at the ready as Artyom walked over and handed him the card, the soldier nodded and opened the vault. Artyom walked inside and flipped on the lights, all you could see was giant black steel shelf's, filed with all sorts of weaponry. Artyom collected a couple flash bangs, and some smoke grenades also. He figured he might as well collect a Dragunov SVU, just encase long range was needed. He walked to the end of the army, to find the 4 snowmobiles, specially designed to be silent. Artyom waited for Dante at the other end.
