the vanila .44 revolver ( player shooting ) sound is not playing, instead the distant shot file plays. both glorious 44 and big iron don't fix it. also effect's any guns that use its file, below. I use loot and have no known conflicts.

Have you tried without the Reverb And Ambience Overhaul mod?

 

Have you checked audio settings for your computer? If you use 5.1/7.1 Surround, set audio to Stereo/2.1.

I disable Reverb and Ambiance, it did not solve the problem. I also confirmed my audio settings are still on Stereo.

Edit: did more trouble shooting bug doesn't affect Western Revolver from Nuka World DLC

 

Edit part 2: updated Colt Python and problem is gone, thank you for your input!!
