Ive edited some armor to try and resemble Arthas's Armor from warcraft 3, when i try to export it as a .NIF i get the error

"You must specify at least one bone node"

im fairly new to 3Ds max and have no idea what I'm meant to do to fix this

sorry of this is a really stupid question

Ok i had the same problem too and managed to fix the problem turning it into an editable mesh before exporting and it worked. :)

Select the object, right click, Convert to, Convert to editable mesh, try export again.

This is the real reason and fix for this Nifskope error, you have one mesh missing skin on it.

I was exporting a tree and my trunk was missing the skin modifier on it and once i skin the trunk i could export perfectly.

Hope this help others with these pesky export errors.
