The politics of the personal

A very wise man, once said that all we have the fear is fear itself and it seems after almost 100 years of technological progress we've yet to see the simple truth in that saying and take action to alleviate many of the adverse effects it has on both ourselves and others.

Why is it that we fear not being in control, when we have never been in control and always been under the control of others?

Why is it that when someone who claims to be of the political party we espouse, we are less agitated than if the shoe was on the other foot?

Why is it that dialogue and debate has become so toxic? Is it because the opposition have become monsters or is it that we are so use to the mental imagery we project on those who don't share our values that we simply associate any ideal coming from them as monstrous?

Fredrick Nietzsche famously said

“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”

Could it be said that what we see in the opposition is of our own observation or is it the mental imagery supplied by those in the various media sources we subscribe to?

Could we be holding the mental imagery of these people so close that we, like Nietzsche said, have become the monsters we perceive the opposition is and in doing so have doomed ourselves to the political situation that we are presently in?

But we haven't always been under control. That's the norm in history, but one of the main points of the American revolution is easing this a bit... at least on the government end. No more giant States, no Kings, no Pharaoh, no Chinese emperor..

Of course, the US government's dream of individuals cooperating soon corroded and government became an ever more powerful mainstay.. but that wasn't the intent. Neither in it's Declaration or the Constitution.

And I intentionally mean the American revolution. Because it instantly didn't turn out this way in France. Their revolution immediately started sanctioning widespread government terror and control.. down to Robespierre forcing a new calendar and his own invented religion. It was no better than the King they beheaded. Perhaps worse.

Yes, you have become what you call them, and they no longer are, human nature dose not change, so to maintain the delusion bate and switch is required.

No trade can last for ever.

Give power and raise to the scorned and you have a new scorned, who will take your power and cast you down for the same reasons as you did it in a different configuration.

Harmonization and allowing for enlightened contrast and the variation of perception: acknowledging the law of identification and discerning the basic elements of reality as it apply to individuals sociology/psychology/genetic biology and imperatives that always win out.

Knowing these understandings are your only key, and the true meaning of tolerance and aiding the course of life and evolution.

What is. Is, and will be always. All by reason and logic with contextual awareness.

No Dream remains unchanging, no distortion or cross patching holds forever.
