I hit a snag in my settlement building.

Right so I'm sorta new to this but I really need help. You see I've invested a lot of time trying to make Sanctuary a really large settlement, a place that can almost rival Diamond City.

Doing so I found a mod to increase how much I can build and I managed to make a shanty town, well second shanty town. I have a mod that allows settlers to be fishermen so I'm going to make that a small fishing village outside of Sanctuary. I was going to shove Marcy Long and her husband in that place to never hear from them ever again, but well, I can build the shanty town, but I can't seem to command them to go there. I even considered being nice, their "shack" is a 2 story house with a double-bed and all the basic amenities, though they are the furthest away from the outhouse, So my snag is the fact they don't want to be fishermen out there, nor sleep in their bed. It is outside the normal range of Sanctuary, but I invested so much time and material I don't want to scrap it, so does anyone have any ideas how to get them to move over there? Is there another mod I can download to move them over to their shack. The other shanty town works fine but this one is further away from the people who don't suck, which is why I want to move them over there.

If the shanty falls outside Sanctuary build borders or the built extra house is too far away from the WorkShop, you won't be able to assign settlers to it.

 

You can try the Clipboard mod with which you can copy whole buildings to paste 'em elsewhere in the game. Would let you relocate the shanty, if necessary.

You might give the mod Annex the commonwealth a try. You can in essence increase your subdivision area to incorporate other close areas and you should be able to assign them there. I actually sent Marci to another settlement and Jun doesn't even wonder what happened to here. I keep him busy picking his nose somewhere so I don't have to deal with his whiny remarks. She actually becomes somewhat hospitable without him. Check out the mod though. It might solve your problem.

Jun and Marcy both become killable (no longer essential) after you complete the initial Sanctuary quest. So just put them where they will be easily killed ( on guard duty near a missile turret should do it) and get someone else to fish.
