Skyrim - Discworld Mod Talk

Yeah, I have looked into Gandalf's hat. Tried it, didn't like it. Currently using a Witches Hat mod. I just need to learn to UV map and I will be able to do anything. I am looking into learning how to create mutli-part models and UV mapping them, etc. So wish me luck. Here's a look at a quick re-texture of some clothes, cloaks, hat and boots for the Bursar. Just a test to see how it looks. It will do for now as a placeholder but I definitely want proper models.

Nice work man! When you learn how to UV map you will be unstoppable. I will find mods that add new clothes to the game that you can retex, because the vanill clothes are pretty limited for you, I have found a few already. If you plan to add cohen I found this mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4793 that adds a CONAN armour to the game, bit of a retex and its fine, but you'll need permission. For death I think this might be useful: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=10622 all you need is hooded necromancer robes and your good to go! For rincewind retex the preacher robes red and gold and use the hat, this might be useful for wizards on the whole: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=1047 and we need someone to do new beards. I contacted a guy about the orangutan and I'm still waiting to here back, but I WILL contact more and more people everyday to ease the work load on you and of course provide you with time saving ideas :)

I wouldn't use the College as a base for UU. It will cause too many conflictions with other mods and in-game quests, as well as set NPC AI routing. Best to do as another modder was working on by creating a gateway to a large separate area where you can create whatever you desire without conflicts with anything else. BTW, if you want the great Death in the game, talk with Dogtown, the creator of the awesome Skyrim Monster Mod. He actually has a Gloom Reaper right now, which will be available in the next update. But, he has helped make creatures (Ice Werewolf) for my friends mod, Expanded Winterhold Destruction Ruins, and for the excellent "Moonpath To Elsweyr" mod.

I contacted dogtown and he said he will help, but he does have other commitments at the moment. Well thats the librarian sorted, and think of any other creatures you might want him to add to the game, I bow before your discworld knowledge!

Going to contact Omegared99 to help you make wizard robes and other outfits, he made armour compilation which added the spellweaver and other mage outfits that looked great. I think he may be able to add the latch to kidbys outfit which will make it look even closer to the picture...than it already is, amazing what you did with a retex :thumbsup:

I knew Dogtown would help you out. He is a great monster/creature designer. As for Discworld, I assume you have the excellent "The Art of Discworld", "The Pratchett Portfolio" and "The Last Hero" books. They will come in handy for all the fantastic Paul Kidby artwork.

Love the outfit, Voivod333. With bit more tweaking, it will look even better. The hat definitely needs more redesiging to match those of the UU members, but it still looks great right now.

@phaota

The College isn't a base for UU. But it is the gateway to it and eventually the rest of Discworld, via a bookshelf in the College to library in the UU, known as L-Space. The screen shot is just to show my attempts at re-texturing some clothes and such to use for the wizards.

@GalaxyS3

Good work on recruiting help. Like that of the Dogtown and hopefully OmegaRed99. I have their works and am loving them. For the orangutan Librarian, I hope he can break him down into pieces like the normal races (ie. Head, Body, Hands, Feet) so I can make outfits for him as need be for future DLC of the Discworld. As for other creatures, thankfully there aren't many. The important ones being the Trolls, the Dwarves and the Golems. All are virtually essential to Discworld lore. As well as Death, mentioned prior and the Death of Rats. Finally, I think are of course, the Nac Mac Feegles.

There is also Greebo, Nanny Ogg's "cat." How can I forget him. But he is not just a cat but more of a were-race. A cat that can become a man. And some other oddities (Pictures below).

For clothing/armors, we need the Watch armors, the UU clothing, the Patrician's clothes and the Ramtop witches clothes, Casanunda's wig and clothes, and finally the Canting Crew (aka the bums) clothing, especially a Duck Hat for "the Duck Man." Most of the rest can be vanilla stuff. I don't think any special weapons are needed. Maybe one sword, for use as a talking sword. Which in itself maybe hard to pull off. A custom race for old people would be awesome, it would help greatly the look of "the Silver Horde." As far as weapons go, the Patrician's Cane Sword would be nice but isn't necessary. But I do think crossbows are a definite must and Detritus's Siege Bow.

Here some pics of most of what I believe we need.
