Thumpbunny
As an avid user of poser and it's related content, I often see armor sets here and on other sites that were originally created by a 3d modeller called Alfaseed (a.k.a. Aery Soul, Awful Soul, etc.) So my big question is how many of the people posting these mods A) paid for the original model and B) got permission from the original artist to convert them and post them up here (and on other sites). I have also seen plenty of other armor sets made from poser content creators up here and elsewhere and the same question applies. I'm not going to name names or point fingers but it's a question I have been dying to ask.
Gbiz
seems like they care more if your name is offensive then if you are blatantly stealing from other games/mods/artists

It should state the original author and that it has correct permission in the read me.. if it doesn't then it is highly suspect. the site does care about that and will promptly ban the user for ripping off other artists without permission, the thing is it is up to the user base to report this behaviour, and in addition it is not simply a case of reporting the file, unless you are the actual owner of the assets, your word alone is meaningless without presenting evidence to back up your claim. It takes some expertise to be able to do this. You will need to either buy or steal the original content if not freely available, such as rip it from the commercial game yourself, import assets into a scene and be able to present that the geo and textures are what you say they and not just like a well done fan made asset. None of that is done in a matter of minutes with no expertise in modding. Anyone doing that needs to get a life (ie do actual modding instead) because it is too much effort for nothing.
