Data files empty

I found a solution for this problem. To fix it, you must modify the installation path in the regedit:

 

- Open up your Windows® Regedit.

- Find this folder : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Bethesda Softworks/Skyrim

- Extra step: If that doesn't exist create it. Also create a new string value and rename it into "Installed Path".

Make sure you set the string value by your skyrim installation directory.

example: "E:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Skyrim\"

ok i fixed mine thought i could help u too , anyway open ( Regedit ) in the start menu , look for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > and look for Bethesdas Softwares (if u didnt find it right away like me look in Wow6432Node last one in the list ...for me atleast ) anyway u should find it there , Open the folder then click on skyrim's Folder

 

1-if u found a file called (Installed Path) just right click it > Modify and chose your skyrim installation directory.Ex H:\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim\

 

2- if u didnt find that file just right click and make a (String Value) and name it (Installed Path) and do the same as in #1

 

and 1 more thing dont forget to put ( \ ) at the end or it wont work , just a tip

i just when on the C:\Users\Home\AppData\Local then looked for Skyrim copy everything on the loadorder.txt and paste it on the DLClist.txt(it should be in the same folder where you find the loadorder.txt) this is the txt file that shows up on the data files in your skyrim launcher.exe.. hope this helps :)

You can try to add to your SkyrimPrefs.ini (C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Skyrim) the following Line under [Launcher]:

 

bEnableFileSelection=1

i typed those already but the files in the data file doesn't appear

really, i've tried ALL of the methods mentioned above, even re-installed Skyrim, but nothing changed.

when i open Skyrim Launcher and look for the Data files, it opens but shows nothing.

and by that i mean not only doesn't it show any of the mods, but neither does it show the three DLC updates.

please help.

Hello, So the problem that I'm facing right now is empty data files.

First of all, I downloaded Skyrim from ocean of games yesterday and it is Skyrim razor1911.After I installed it , I downloaded update 13 and I copied it into my Skyrim's folder but when I click on Skyrim launcher and went to data files it was empty...

And yes I tried the regedit thing

Could you guys give me a solution for this? I've been modding and playing Skyrim for years now and have never encountered this issue ð­
