Fallout 4 Drug Kingpin Quest Mod - Your suggestions?

Theoretically, if there were a fallout 4 quest mod that involved manufacture and sale of drugs, and/or helping or fighting chem dealers, what would you want to see? e.g.

 

- Certain custom or real world drugs

- Building a drug empire

- Destroying an existing drug ring

- What types of missions?

- What types of NPC interaction?

 

Keep in mind the voiced protagonist and existing vanilla voiced dialogue put severe limits on what is possible, which may be a reason it hasn't been done yet in Fallout 4.

 

I've made this work in Skyrim, as have others (e.g. Become a Skooma Drug Lord), but it hasn't been done for Fallout 4. Looking for ideas to make this a reality, specifically suggestions that: 1) are feasible to implement, 2) won't cause bugs or mod conflicts, and 3) are actually fun to play.

 

Example of feasible to implement: In Skyrim there is no voiced protagonist, so the player can deal drugs to NPC's because the player can say anything and the vanilla NPC shared dialogue lines (e.g. "what manner of magic is this?") generally work with that. In Fallout 4, there is relatively little voiced protagonist dialogue or vanilla NPC dialogue that would allow for the player to deal drugs in an immersive way.

 

Mechanisms that are easy to implement include: notes, terminals, custom voiced NPC's, meshes/textures for custom drugs, custom drug names/effects, and battles over territories with either vanilla or custom factions.

that does sound intriguing, it'll go well with stuff like "BountyBoards", "keyTasking",

and "Regulators of the Commonwealth (the League of ExtraordinaryMysteryWastelanders).

I'm in the process of sending a long-form NMM inbox,

 

it'd be great to see some New Lands which are only accessible via a certain chem-state.

stuff in the line of BlahblahDEEblahblah's "sketchtopia" style...

I mean, you could have some real 'trippy' style effects, and when they regain their senses,

they find they've decimated Diamond City etc...

"Not even once" style stuff.

 

Or, "random conditional" stuff - in the line of Athanasa "conditions, afflictions, ailments..."

so, you're rolling the dice to get a positive mutation conditional, (you're realling hoping for that Extra Head (double Intelligence, 1/2 charisma)

or those extra pair of arms/eyes - double attacks or double perception)

though, the odds are you wind up with blue-plague or turn into a ghoul.

I think this could be cool, not sure about adding real world effects but I think having visual effects for the existing fallout drugs would be cool, that way any other mod that alter's those drugs (like the Drug Overhaul, which changes the normal ones into real world equivalents). Also cool Agony style animations for taking the drugs would be cool.

 

If anything you should make that jerk that tries to sell you the charge card a dealer, I think it will save that NPC from being shot in the face all the time.

 

It would be cool if NPCs actually approached you to buy, and only giving a go away (like from the start when your talking to the vault-tec rep) or a barter option and I don't think it would be too much trouble to attempt that. Also having different NPC animations/behaviors when they approach you depending on what they are looking for would be cool. Then progress from this "foot dealing," you could somehow unlock new settlement objects that would allow you to place drug dealers in your settlements and established places with a chance of turf wars and being arrested (like in Diamond City chems are controlled by the government, maybe a special licence type quest). Then maybe when your doing real well (starting to become a kingpin) that's when vigilante types might hunt you down, No Place is Safe style.

 

Lots of potential in this mod, really cool idea.

Drugs? Hmm a drug delivery system yes. Here is my mission idea.

 

Certain Settlements need drugs each month. The sole survivor´s job is, to deliver. How this happens? A messages pop up, like if a Settlement need our help (attack). Just in this case, they need some Jet, or Fury etc. Like in "rescue a hostage" missions, the player is under time pressure.

 

Plus Raiders appear in front of the very Settlement, and try to block the way. If the player can´t reach the Settlement "junkie" in time, or get killed the mission is of course a failure.

 

Other idea find big chests, with drugs hidden all around the Commonwealth. How? Let say the player must find 4-5 pieces of paper for one quest. All pieces together, reveal a word. Can be a house, park, Father´s private chambers lol. Once the player found hm 10 chests, he/she get´s a bonus a price or something? Maybe it helps you?

 

What i never liked is, the drug effect vanish too quickly even with the perk point lol.
