blitzen
So are we saying we should NOT reload. But quit the game completely and restart the game to be safe? Yes. Reloading a save while the game is running is not the same as loading a save after starting the game from a shutdown state.

You don't have to quit completely. I find that just going to main menu helps. You can test this out for yourself. Open your first save file.. the "Prisoner" after the Opening Sequence. Look at the banners as Tullius is passing down the sentence on Ulfric. Now quick reload as you're standing.. back to the same Prisoner file. Once the camera allows you to pan to the banners, you'll see that their physics aren't activated. I don't know how bad that is, but I get the feeling it's not a good thing. tomomi1922
I certainly will at least drop down to Main menu from now on. I mean it is nice to just load and save at will, including Quick Save and Quick Load. But knowing this, and knowing Bethesda will not give a damn after all these times this is around, I am trying not to be lazy.I just started the game from scratch again. Here is why: I found out armor pieces on modular outfits fight each other. I can wear either bra or panties, not both. I spent lots of time diagnosing this, thinking there is a mod that is blocking this. Then someone mentioned it may be OSA, I tested, it's not. Then I loaded a very early save, low and behold, the armor pieces worked FINE with current mod load. So SOMETHING within the save is all screwed up.And the last time I went back to the beginning.... there is a tiny and useful mod called Quick Light. Hold down E for 5 seconds and I get a lantern (not taking up a slot). Hold down E for 5 seconds and I turn off that lantern. Amazing? Until this said lantern refuses to emit light. Reinstall the mod doesn't help. Hence, restarting!I am blaming all these as the fault of this load/save sequence.

As I don't use bra and panty mods, I wouldn't know  That said, I'm not sure that banner/physics issue is bad, but it doesn't sound like it's good, does it? What's weird is that if you die and it auto reloads you to your last saved game, this issue doesn't come up. It seems to load all the assets correctly this way, even though it's another sort of "quick reload".
tomomi1922
LOL bra and panties I am very big in the RP element, the immersion. So I would go to great length to get things the way I want, if I can help it. So those bikini mods provide some great pieces I can put together. The only people in my world who walks around in skimpy clothes are the wenches (via Immersive Wench mod). Because they are indoor, soliciting customers (in both food and that). But that aside, I can't afford to ignore issues. If something is meant to work, and they don't, I know there is a problem. It also extends to Recorder with her very normal outfit. She can only wear either top or skirt, not both. Yes, the auto reload seems to fix problem instead. People have guides out there just to kill yourself by player.kill to force reload.
