What is your favorite mod house?

Hi everybody,

Thought I'd start a new thread, to hear what is everyone's favorite mod house. By mod house I mean a player home added by a home. So what is your favorite mod house? (Unless for some reason you prefer an in-game house, then tell me what house that is).

My personal favorite mod house is Levelers Tower by WillieSea, it is not only a really nice house from the inside (although from the outside it doesn't look like much), but it also has a lot of nice extra features, such as auto-sorting item drawer, a harvesting garden, a fighting arena, and many more cool features. There are also a lot of cheat features in the house, but those shouldn't really be a problem unless you don't have self-control (besides most of the cheat features are things that can already be done with the console).

Looking forward to hearing your favorites.

i steered clear of the leveler's tower.. it does look good, but i don't like the constant temptation

deus mons is gorgeous, but it's too small for my needs. besides you have to walk too much to get your stuff inside...oh..and then you have the dragon ¬¬

currently using dovahkiin's warehouse & bedroom until i finish my own..it's taking quite a while though

Helms Haven a Lovely little home near Riverwood, not to large or overdone, but the author has spent a bit of time making it follower safe/interactive, which is one of the most important aspects IMHO

And probably one of the most detailed, gorgeously presented and fastidiously implemented interiors I've ever seen New Tolucan (though if I've been playing for a few hours it normally takes 2 or 3 CTD's and reloads to actually enter the place)

The key to enjoying Leveler's Towers without ruining your game is simply self-control. It's a really cool tower home that has a lot of non-cheating stuff inside. Besides, most of the cheat stuff are actually things you can also activate using console commands.

Also, let me know when you finish your own mod house.

You know, there are some really well-done house mods out there, and I tried quite a few of them. I don't want to name names, because for the most part I thought they were well done and great structures, but they just weren't what I wanted in a player house. Either they had too much cheating stuff, or they were just TOO BIG. Or they just broke my immersion with some cheesy elements like massive trophy rooms and such.

A lot of people like those things, but they weren't for me. So in the end I just decided that I had to make one of my own, the way I wanted it.

Alfheim Hall on Skyrim Nexus

I basically built it around the philosophy of keeping immersion, of keeping its feel like something that is already a part of Skyrim. It is a house with a plausible backstory, that is decorated with lots of attention to detail and dare I say affection. It is a large and grand manor, with full crafting facilities etc...but not sprawling. It's all one cell! It also has bed space to quarter companions if you use Ultimate Follower Overhaul (a mod I wish I could endorse 100 times).

While it has some loot items, it has no cheat items, adds no curiously wealthy merchants, etc. It should just be thought of as an upgrade that is in the spirit of the vanilla houses, but improves on them greatly and addresses a lot of what they feel like they are missing.

I thought I'd throw the shameless plug in here because I had trouble picking a player house too, and my solution was to make the one that I wanted. But I put it up here on the nexus on the off chance that maybe a couple people might also have been looking for something like this!

One of mine: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=9512

and another: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=17776

I did my own vanilla player homes, i didn't like how every mod for them completely changed the home or the new area didn't have the feel of the original. basically added crafting area and bedrooms for followers without changing anything but a wall in the original houses.
