SariDecember
FOSE stands for "Fallout Script Extender" and is required by a bunch of mods that add for example UI changes or ingame menus and stuff! (afaik, don't bash for that noobish explanation attempt! ;) ) anyway you can get it here: http://fose.silverlock.org/ Greetz *Sari-D

panzersharkcat
Either use this or use FOMM to create a fake xlive.dll with the install tweaker.
bben46
As with all script extenders, you must always start the game with the script extender and not the game launcher - Every time - or it will not work and your game will most likely crash on start. A script extender adds extra functions into the game engine that some mods would not be possible without. If a mod maker needs those functions for their mod to work the mod includes calls to those functions - if the script extender is not running, it will fail to connect with those functions resulting in a crash. KadenLaw23
My anti-virus claims that silverlock.org is a "dangerous" site, and that I should not download from it. But from what I've seen, no one has had problems with FOSE. Is FOSE a safe file to download. even if the rest of the site is "Dangerous?"
BlackRampage
Is FOSE a safe file to download. even if the rest of the site is "Dangerous?"Of course it's a safe file to download. And Silverlock.org isn't "dangerous" at all. Not only does it hosts FOSE, but also NVSE (New Vegas Script extender), OSBE (oblivion script extender) and SKSE (Skyrim script extender). I'd recommend getting a different virusscanner.
