How do YOU roleplay...

Yep, those poor newbies didn't know what hit them. I was in a group of older members who despised the large amount of new and inexperienced members joining the site. I used to hang out in the restricted age forums since my account was so old, and I used to go in the spam forums a lot. I wasn't anywhere near the caliber of the gang who ruled the place, but I was among the cooler members. I quit that site, though, it bored me to tears towards the end.

 

I would never go for a short guy with hairy toes. I'm fairly tall, and I don't want to bend over to kiss a guy. Oh yes, disintegrating underwear sounds very sexy. Almost as sexy as the clipping issues I was having yesterday that causing my character's butt to stick through her clothing.

 

I'm always 3/4s asleep. I call it zombie mode, it happens a lot in the summer with nothing to do.

 

I like roleplaying. There, now this post is on topic.

How dare you, dezi! How could you possibly suggest such a thing. Aerin and i have been scrupulous in our adherence to the rules of ...ah... thingy.

 

This thread, for the more subtly minded ( and really d, i thot you were one :whistling: ) has been nothing but role play! Two people of vastly disparate ages, and probably outlooks on life, and probably genders, stuck in a room. One of them begging for help...quietly. The other one happily raconteuring about the mayhem she causes almost everywhere she goes. And having such a charmingly innocent delight in her work. How could it not be about roleplay, dez!?

 

Aerin, i have often wondered that modders dont make more of the clipping thingy. Or maybe they do, and im too stoopid to know this. Currently, in conan, my char is a rather large bottomed female, and she has no end of clipping issues. Even the most ...uh...cannot think of the word: the direct opposite of sexy and suggestive - garment ends up flashing. As to never going for short guys with hairy toes...never say never. When they're rich short etc, all of a sudden they might get very attractive.

I would probably never go for a guy just because he's rich or famous or has a really nice car or some such thing. That doesn't matter to me, personality matters so much more.

 

I hate, hate, hate clipping issues. Especially with hair, because you can see it in any screenshots most of the time. Grr. Stupid clipping.

If, as your profile would seem to suggest, Aerin, you are in the usa...dont you ever sleep? And i wasnt suggesting that you were a hurricane. I think i was pretty well stating the fact loudly and clearly. Hah. And there you go with the 'never' again. Im at that point in life when the odds are that 'never' is probably going to catch up with me sooner, rather than later. You, on the other hand, would seem to have an awful lot of 'never' stretching ahead you.

As to clipping: clipping is a wonderful device for stimulating roleplay ( see how casually i worked the magic words in there? ) in an online game. People tend to shout at your character, 'Hey , your butt is showing!'... or some other pertinent part of the anatomy. Then the conversation can begin, usually with ' Your Mutha!' So... dont be too hard on the potentials for roleplay , re clipping.

i prefer not to roleplay on online games, mostly because i would rather pretend to be an elf with some friends than pretend to be an elf all alone in my bedroom hahahaha.

 

when i do roleplay though, i just tend to screw around most of the time, and level at a sloooooow pace.

As a matter of fact, Chesto, I do sleep occasionally. It's the years of gaming that have messed up my sleeping cycle. I go to bed late and get up late.

 

So you're stating that I'm a hurricane? It's still true. I'm clumsy, and I like spinning in circles. Not until I throw up, though, because I did that once and it wasn't fun.

 

I said 'probably never' which isn't just 'never' because there's a 'probably' in front of it. So there.

 

Okay, so what does 'your mother' even mean? Is it supposed to be an insult? Or is it just something people say to sound stupid?

 

@ Evilkoal: I actually agree with you there. I find it hard to roleplay in online games, because the point is basically to just get a group together and complete quests. I roleplay mostly in single player games like Oblivion.

I think that its the bit that comes before ' your mutha', that is relevent to the abuse, tho i couldnt say for sure as its not a term in my everyday use. I was trying to get down with the homeys...and have been caught out. No middle class 60 year old white man should ever try to get down with the homeys. This would feature as an entry in the RolePlay Book of Donts. ...uh..what are homeys, btw.?

Sorry i missed the 'probably' there, Aerin. Was very early this am. I cant work out how anyone roleplays in a single player game. In their head?
