iachase
There’s a outlook .ost file that I could open no my laptop on Windows 8.1. However, after the Windows 10 update, I suddenly can’t open it anymore. It gives the following message, ‘The data file cannot be configured’. I googled for this, i get many solutions for all other formats except .ost files issue. TY for you time and attention
HeyYou
I thought outlook used .pst files?? What version of office are you running? 2007 tends to be problematic under the later versions of win 10. Worked with 1709, stopped working with 1803.
Parra9
- Exit Outlook and browse to one of the following file locations:- Open SCANPST.EXE.- Select Browse to select the Outlook Data File (.ost) you want to scan. If you need help locating your Outlook Data - - File, see Locating the Outlook Data Files.- Choose Start to begin the scan.- If the scan finds errors, choose Repair to start the process to fix them.- Shows results of scanned Outlook .ost data file using the SCANPST.EXE- When the repair is complete, start Outlook with the profile associated with the Outlook Data File you just repaired. If that not works take a look here how to view ost files.
