My Lydia Has a Booger Green Forehead. Why???

My Lydia's forehead is booger green, and I don't know why. Her image is below. I have skyhair installed, and I think that may have something to do with it. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this? I need help with finding a solution if anyone knows one. Thanks in advance!

It looks like a mod texture issue. Which mods are you using that affect NPCs?

UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul; sky hair; HOTTER SKYRIM - LYDIA PLUS 26 MAKEOVER; Calientes Female Body Mod Big Bottom Edition -CBBE; Better Females by Bella.

I would look for a conflict between Apachi Sky and the Lydia mods first. Check out the readmes of both and the discussion pages. I am betting the problem will be found there, addressed by the authors and the solution provided.

If not, you could try reordering the mods, and/or uninstalling and reinstalling. texture mods can haunt you forever if not properly uninstalled though, so you would again probably want to go through the readmes,

The "booger green" problem is from your custom face mod for Lydia. It's a known bug with custom faces and should be able to be fixed if you know how to use the CK.

1. Open the CK

2. Select the mod that changes Lydia's face and set it to active.

3. Find the Object Window and got to Actors

4. Sort by Name and look for Lydia. Double click to open.

5. Once inside select the Head preview box at the bottom of the window. Note: Her hair may be floating high above her head. It happens, don't worry.

6. At the top of the window there will be a row of tabs. Look for the tab called Character Gen Parts.

7. Once the tab is selected look for FemaleHeadHuman_ForeHead.dds.

8. Once that is selected look to the right of that list and find Face Tinting Color.

9. Then look for Preset right below. Make sure it's set to *ColorAverage.

10. If the color doesn't change for some reason check some of the other .dds's and also make sure they are set to *ColorAverage.

11. Save and exit.

That should be it. Hope that helps.

I've fixed a few custom characters for my brother and they all were fixed this way.

  • 3 weeks later...

Uninstall/ reinstall fixed it. Thanks Georgiegril

Can you please say what it was you uninstalled and reinstalled? I have the same issue and the same mods.

I use Bella's Better Females, ShyHair and Skyhair for NPCs and CBBE v3.

I uninstalled & reinstalled the entire game

Whoa! Kinda... drastic. That would be a nightmare for me, I am currently house sitting and must use BT Openzone. 52kb/s download speed :D
